where is it ?

Oroku can be found north east of the Marketplace, along with a great deal of Jade Brotherhood. - anja talk (contribs) 20:27, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

does oroku use bolt of damask or what?

She never blinks.. 82.19.42.9 17:32, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

I'm sure no one cares about this page so it is out of date, but she only offers costume masks (one of each attr.) to my female prophecies mesmer 68.116.200.102 22:46, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

Move[edit]

I reckon Oroku, the ally you get during When Kappa Attack, should be on this page, while the crafter (who I'd bet three people were aware of before today) should be on Oroku (crafter). Anyone else? -- Hong 16:28, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

A crafter of max armor isn't really obscure. Certainly not more so than an ally from (so far) a single quest. 24.197.253.243 16:38, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
I support Hong's suggestion.
  • Oroku (crafter) will normally be discovered by looking for armor rather than by typing the name.
  • Oroku (the WoC NPC) is more likely to be typed into the search box.
As the IP suggests, both are sort of obscure...but I don't see much advantage in making the armor crafter the default...or in forcing people to choose on the disambig page that has recently been created. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 18:07, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
Agreed, I think that the Oroku from When Kappa Attack should take place of the disambig.–User Balistic B d-dark.pngalistic 19:25, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
Remind me on my talk page to re-read this if no action has been taken in a couple of days. I've been doing a fair amount of catch-up, and I'm still back-logged. G R E E N E R 23:19, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
There's not really an advantage to either. My preference would be to leave up the disambig page or leave the crafter as the default. If given the choice between an armor crafter or a bit player who has only appeared in one quest, I'd favor the crafter. --Ceru talk contribs 03:04, 11 July 2011 (UTC)

Other uses[edit]

The point of {{other uses}} is to help people who, for whatever reason, end up at the wrong article. There are two NPCs name Oroku, two articles, and both should have a note pointing to the other. I think the tag should be restored. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 23:18, 13 September 2011 (UTC)

I'd have to ask that you specify what reasons are included in "for whatever reason". The purpose of a hatnote is to disambiguate ambiguous article titles. Since the move from Oroku to Oroku (crafter), there is no ambiguous title anymore; there is similarly no reasonable means by which one can arrive here mistakenly except through gross user error.
  1. If you type "oroku" into the search, you arrive at Oroku, a disambiguation page, NOT at this page.
  2. If you otherwise search for "oroku", you get a listing for this page (clearly disambiguated as "crafter"), as well as the other page (clearly disambiguated as the Ministry of Purity NPC). If the latter does not seem clear enough, use a disambiguation term that is.

This reasoning is laid out in [1] Hold Me Closer, Necromancer 02:02, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

This is not wikipedia. -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 02:12, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
You're right, it's not, and I see that redundancy is encouraged here with re: to hatnotes, so I'll leave it at that. Hold Me Closer, Necromancer 02:13, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

Is it possible she and the ministry of purity version are the same people?
