Chest Running Place[edit]

I did neither make some maps nor similiar things, but i can say that i made many (hm) chest runs during a special event we and you can get quite much chests...always 5 ...or 6 ?. Start in Maatu Keep, runn down to the wardens, back around the plants to the am-fah, then into the canalisation to the aflicted (watch for the pop-ups there), up to the yetis and wallows, until you reach Boreas Seabed...yes i know, the description isn't the best...but the cool thing is, you get a lot of diffrent skins because of the many diffrent monster area parts. one of the common drops are Achaic Axes...near the wallows. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 21:42, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Hey, its Archaic Axe =D --kangaRoo talk 11:15, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

Faction[edit]

WOuld you get faction from VQing here? If so, would it depend on which portal you entered from? Thanks! |--SaberhagenFile:User Saberhagen Wiki Sig.JPG(My Talk) 15:49, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Nope, no faction. Just vanquished starting at Boreas Seabed. Blood Red Giant 04:57, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
Yes, if you start at boreas seabed or tanglewood corpse and talk to the priest outside at the res shrine you do get kurzick or luxon faction from killing or while vanquishing the area, i think it should be added when someone with good maths (not i) can guestimate the total... T1Cybernetic 11:31, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
Well, you do of course get the faction from the bounties, but I think it's more of a question of whether or not you get extra faction simply for having vanquished the area. And as for that, the answer as far as I noticed is no. Blood Red Giant 19:56, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

Region[edit]

Today's Zaishen Vanquish says that pongmei valley is located NEAR Kaineng city, not IN kaineng city. Perhaps it should be changed, since in-game says it isn't part of Kaineng city. Opinions?--82.95.139.103 12:30, 28 March 2011 (UTC)

vanqing[edit]

154 foes, 41min, vanq/maping. Pretty simple zone to vanq with lots of room between mobs. A balanced team will cover this area pretty fast. There are ahm fa drop-down mobs near that boss so dont go full steam running in. Also a couple patrols run into the area aswell. Dont miss the warrior yeti boss in his cave. Didnt even know that lil spot existed but fortunetly I didnt miss it while killing the yeti mob just accross the bridge. Was like, where the eff are they? bug? Hit space bar and I auto ran to them lol. Justice 05:16, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

158 foes, 30-35 minutes, pretty quick vanquish. My usual tactic is to scrape the edges of the map then follow the in-map roads. It works pretty well so far. I didn't really have any trouble with this area. It's pretty easy to miss the Warrior boss that Justice mentioned several years ago. Other than that be a little careful of some drop down Am-Fah in the areas adjacent to Maatu Keep. There are a few Jade Brotherhood knights and mages that can be trouble if one isn't wary enough.--LunarRXA (talk) 19:11, 17 March 2017 (UTC)

VQing under WoC[edit]

I just VQ'd this zone with "Cleansing Pongmei Valley" active (and completed during the run). 127 foes is much less than the current range listed of 140-163... Don't know how to upload screens here, so here's an imageshack link: http://img37.imageshack.us/img37/9162/gw004me.jpg --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 159.153.138.53 (talk • contribs) at 20:11, 10 August 2011 (UTC).

Did you have the HM version active? or the NM version? (I'm not sure if that will affect the spawns, but given other differences between WoC, WiK, and questing generally...it's hard to be sure without confirmed observations). Thanks. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:18, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
Regular version of the quest was active. It did get completed during the run. Based on this, it looks like the regular version can be done in either NM or HM, and then the HM version can only be done in HM. Regardless, even in HM it was easy to do. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 159.153.138.53 (talk • contribs) at 20:06, 11 August 2011 (UTC).
Great. Thanks for the info (FYI since the introduction of HM quests, you have always had the option of completing the standard version in nm or HM — after all, that was an option we have had since the introduction of HM). — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:19, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

Uris[edit]

There should be a note about this WoC boss: Uris_Tong_of_Ash --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.118.30.14 (talk • contribs) at 22:30, 10 August 2011 (UTC).

And so there is. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 22:40, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
Right but shouldn't there be some sort of link to the pages under a spoiler flag? Politicalmind (talk) 18:39, 11 September 2018 (UTC)
