Maybe add a picture of a Prophecies/Factions style portal? br12 • 00:02, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
- What about an off page sub-article, showing as many different kinds portals as possible?LeFick 03:23, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
- Well there are only two types - the original Prophecies and Factions ones, and the newer NF style one. That's just two images, so they should really all go on this page. br12 • 11:26, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
- There is also the closed portal that you have to talk to a guard to pass, such as the Shing Jea Boardwalk durring a festival event. Techically still a portal, but you don't actually ever pass thru, but are allowed to pass by the guard. Do you think that also counts as a portal? Or, should that specific method of zoning be called something else? LeFick 12:11, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
- Hm, I usually just think of those as doors or gates. I mean, there's a portal there too, and the portal will transit you if you could walk through it but there's this dang gate in the way. In my head, two objects. --Star Weaver 20:16, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
- Seems to me it's more like teleporting on that one. You don't leave to go to a new instance or district, you just move to a different spot on the screen. And the gate doesn't actually open or anything. It happens so fast and without a loading screen. Weird. --RoyHarmon 23:44, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
- Ever heard of dwarf-throwing? :) Paddymew 19:23, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Bug?[edit]
Are portals supposed to overlay everything else? →[ »Halogod (talk)« ]← 22:59, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
- What do you mean? --'Mai Yi' {TC} 23:01, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

- I don't see anything odd... --'Mai Yi' {TC} 23:12, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
- Get the full size image and look directly above the character. →[ »Halogod (talk)« ]← 23:14, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
- Can you describe what you're talking about. I seriously see nothing and im not trolling. --'Mai Yi' {TC} 23:19, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

- Okay, can you describe what you think is wrong? I have no idea what you're looking at. --'Mai Yi' {TC} 01:01, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
- Is this any more clear? →[ »Halogod (talk)« ]← 23:42, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
- OHHHHH I see it now. Ill check look at it in game. --'Mai Yi' {TC} 00:47, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- Well that is quite odd. This does not happen for me. It only distorts the image when looking through the portal. I have no idea what is going on with your game. --'Mai Yi' {TC} 00:52, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- It goes away when: I turn anti-alaizing on or turn the post processing off. →[ »Halogod (talk)« ]← 01:07, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- I am not very technical, but I know the post-processing effects makes all the nice visual stuff so it would make sense for it to stop when you turn it off. As for anti-aliasing... well I have no idea what it does but I have mine set to "none." I have no idea what anti-aliasing does. --'Mai Yi' {TC} 01:14, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- Anti-aliasing basically reduces pixelization of objects, making them appear smoother.--67.142.171.21 16:30, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
