Talk:Putrid Bile
I nominate this skill for the most disgusting skill icon to date. --Ravious 01:47, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
- EEEWWWW! Lol, agreed... It's like Icy Veins, but non elite... sure no spike, but degen instead... ~~ frvwfr2 (talk · contributions) 03:13, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
Yay! More Death Magic offensive spells! Come on, zombie-free Death builds..... :) Labmonkey 12:51, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
Nastiest... skill... icon... ever... Skill looks good though. Non-elite alternative to Reaper's Mark. This might make it onto my Rit MM.
- I second the usefulness of this skill for Minion Bombers. Hit C to select nearest enemy, Spacebar to get your minions and Heroes going, then Putrid Bile. If it does well enough, it just might replace the Death Nova and it's requisite minion-selecting, which is the biggest complaint of the build. At least on my skillbar, Razah does just fine. :D --BarGamer 04:40, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
What? It's not that bad! Just Atlas carrying the world on his shoulders. For some reason, this seems more like Afflicted Soul Explosion than Death Nova does. Now I can be an Afflicted! Silver40596 19:40, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
It's putrid bile, which means that thing on his back is a massive boil that fills up over time (the degen) and then when they die, it explodes and splashes on everyone around them. 70.64.104.35 20:25, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
- yay i love bneing pussed on 0.o - 75.75.148.44 05:19, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
"if foe dies" skills are always bad, hey you have 3 degen on you die plz
This+Toxic Chill=love.--72.84.72.113 04:25, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
- Add Vile Miasma to that list. Corpselooter 07:29, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
- Toxic Chill's Poison condition is overkill. If it's STILL not dead, how are you gonna have time to cast Vile Miasma on it before degen does the work? Since this skill is replacing Death Nova on my Rit MM, Razah/Olias/MOW will be equipping Death Nova and Icy Veins. That's enough PB-AOE, minions, cold damage, and degen/conditions to take down most PVE stuff. --BarGamer 03:24, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
I like this skill, death magic hexes FTW, howerver i dont see it getting much play unless its buffeed slightly, the damage seems fine, but the degen sould be set to 3 at like 9-10 points, not 12. Also maybe reduce the energy to 5 makign it a decent conver hex, who knws we may see Para Bond go away for awhile..WHAT?!?!?!Ciric 14:11, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
Would it be terrible if the damage was increased to "In the Area"? It would be impressive for PvE use, and not anymore imbalanced for PvP as Rising Bile. --Skye Marin 20:39, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
- this skill isnt't good enough, increase radius to "in the area" 87.189.233.105

Change the skill icon please[edit]
This skill is interesting. Simply the ugliest icon ever. Any chance to change the icon?--Hydralisk mk2 07:26, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
- No way. Necros have enough good-looking skills as it is. They need something to represent their vile demeanor. :X (Terra Xin 09:15, 27 July 2007 (UTC))
- I reckon this is one of the better-looking icons of the Necromancers, actually. If you want ugly icons, look at Paragon chants and see how small and squished up they are... --Ufelder 09:44, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
- Seriously, this icon rocks! You want beauty and sweetness and light, go look in the Monk or Mesmer icons, not the chosen profession of Grenth's followers. Death can sometimes be ugly, and the process by which you make your enemies dead can get ugly, too... Necros don't care for looking fancy, they go for results. You've never heard a minion complain that your shoes don't match your tatoos, right? (Eve, don't answer that.)--BarGamer 10:01, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

It is a man, crouched, with a big tumoult in his back. It is pretty disguisting and offensive... D'you know how many people are dying for cancerigenous tumoult... it is pretty damn ugly...Haunted Shadow
Translation Suggestions[edit]
To avoid some bad skill translations i'm opening a comment for new skills so everybody can post their translation suggestions in various languages, have fun :) --YukoIshii 23:56, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Afflicted[edit]
the skill icon is as disgusting as the afflicted, and the putrid-explosion like trigger lets me thinks that this skill was inspired by them...with exception of the health degen... Zerpha The Improver 17:47, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

Armor-Ignoring?[edit]
Is the damage upon death armor-ignoring or does it take armor into account? --12.202.100.130 07:45, 18 June 2011 (UTC)
- The damage upon death is armor-ignoring. 217.120.197.22 14:58, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
This overrated skill[edit]
does in 12 seconds what Death Nova can do in 2 (not to mention DN's AoE poison and +15 more dmg). If its recharge was reduced (and maybe cost up to 15e), it could be worth it 129.109.0.102 16:51, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
- Putrid Bile is basically a Death Nova that is cast on enemies. The downside to Death Nova is that an ally has to die, which isn't great if you have no minions, so that makes up for the poison that it adds. They're usually used in combination with each other, such as minion masters and JQ bombers. Random Weird Guy 14:34, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
Other uses[edit]
As far as I know, this is essentially used in JQ for Bombing, and in some Discord builds. But I'm thinking this, Verata's Aura, Contemplation of Purity and Aura of the Lich and possibly Death Nova. The idea would be getting a hefty army of maybe 12 minions, use Verata's and then Contemplation of Purity when the minions are close to something. Use Bile on them and watch shit explode. Possibly you could get a double death nova, if you actually get em back with the Verata's again. Thoughts? A bit hard to pull of though... --46.59.16.165 14:08, 6 December 2012 (UTC) EDIT: woops, for some reason thought it hexed multiple targets :P
