I like this skill. Cheap though. Raptaz 13:49, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

I like it too. It is good anti melee skill in the tactics line. Although you do need to hit people to charge it up, the fact it has no recharge makes it nice. StatMan 05:08, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Imo it's pretty bad becuz it reqs adren. Dark Morphon(contribs) 07:51, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
Maybe combine with Wary Stance? Danimaster 20:55, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
If you don't mind using the elite slot, try Auspicious Parry. It will block attacks and charge up your adrenals, this way not only are you chopping heads with Riposte, you're getting your other adrenal attacks lit up for carnage. Parry, Riposte, Parry, Riposte, sever artery, gash, final thrust, repeat. Elder Angelus 21:25, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
And throw in Deadly Riposte and frenzied Shock axes are going down in fever. Noctarch 00:25, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
And best of all ! you made yourself completely useless in a non ra battle or a battle where the shock axe has brains in hes head ! ow wait thats not rly good is it Lilondra 12:01, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
You could encounter Minotaurs in the Norther and Far Shiverpeaks, Trolls, Tundra Giants and Dwarves in the Southern Shiverpeaks, Jade Brothers and Am Fah Assassins in Kaineng, Vermin in the Skyway, some Mantis in the Echovald Forest, melee Devourers all over Tyria, White Mantle in Kryta, Enchanted Weapons in several Dungeons, Insects in Elona, Undead Hordes in the Wastes, Corsairs in Istan and western Kourna, Margonites in Vaabi, the Wastes and the Tormented Lands. And even if 50% melee fighters are not enough think about possibilities in a sword/tactics build - you have five of eight skill slots left. Rethink. Noctarch 16:15, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
use balths spirit and it charges up riposte and deadly riposte
It only charges Riposte up (okay, it grants the energy for the Deadly one) but it does not too well (about one fifth strike of adrenaline each hit). Noctarch 16:15, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Consider on a Bonder with Balth's Spirit? User Raine R.gif Raine - talk 21:10, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
A bonder being attacked is quite dead. Noctarch 10:00, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
I meant, hits on the other party members give the Bonder adrenaline (from Balth's Spirit, maintained on self), so when someone attacks the Bonder, they'll have a charged Riposte. User Raine R.gif Raine - talk 00:31, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
Only once. In that case you may also run Deadly Riposte. Ɲoɕʈɋɽɕɧ 01:02, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

Skill isn't in Amnoon.[edit]

  • Fixed it, Riposte is only available in Copperhammer Mines, and Ember Light Camp*--Spiken in Piken. 22:01, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

Skill is also available from Firstwatch Sergio in Lion's Arch, so added to the list. Cinnamon Enyo (talk) 20:51, 29 June 2013 (UTC)

only good for farming[edit]

This skill is only good vs a very bad human or a blind AI... In PvP the enemy simply wont attack you after they see this skill until your the last on their list making the skill fail under a hail of attacks... In PvE farming however it synergises with other tactic anti melee skills like Glads Defence and deadly riposite to farm enemy groups that rely on melee attacks... MrPaladin talk 12:55, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

U use it on a monk if they stop attacking monk for 8 secs because of 60 dmg they're stupid. This skill is actually pretty nice for keeping warrs out of frenzy

Isn't that what you want? 8 seconds of no one attacking is gold. You can activate this while KD'ed too. StatMan 15:57, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
Monk's shouldn't use this skill. Shield Bash is a much better option, as this one requires a sword and adrenaline. FleshAndFaith 21:17, 26 June 2010 (UTC)

This skill still does damage even if the attack isn't blocked[edit]

just so you know. WHOOPS didn't finish editing. 24.233.254.51 01:43, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
