Whoa! Does this means we can stop brining res sig and use the slot for something better? Lightblade 19:35, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

Res Sig brings them back to full life and 25% energy while this Scroll of Resurrection brings them back to 25% health and no energy at all. COLDshiver 23:24, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

Can this be used if your dead. I know that generally items can't be used or moved but is this the same? --Fusional 02:41, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

I doubt it can be used when your dead, no other item can be used while dead, it wouldn't make sense that you could use anything while dead :) It is handy if you want to free up your res slot in your skillbar, remember though that earshot is quite close so aggro needs to be clear before you can use it, rebirth would still be a handy res for at least one team member--Evil Geek 20:23, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
Earshot has a range larger than spell range, which is what Rebirth uses. Although odd to admit, this does have a longer range than Rebirth and can perform the same effect, so to speak. DancingZombies 18:09, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

This is very useful for UW farming as you can use this with any profession. Dark Morphon(contribs) 14:51, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

Amen. I just spent 7 hours in there and had almost cleared the entire place (8/10 quests) when my hero died due to an unlucky spawn, and I had no res. :( From now on, I'm bringing a stack of these... — Galil Talk page 01:25, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

I consider these a last resort if no other team member is alive with a rez or we need a rebirth like skill. Forgetting the skill point its ~500g(if u do your own mats) or ~1k+ if u buy them. Team has to be worth it aswell as your own skill bar lacking a hard rez with the appropriate secondary.--Justice 23:46, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

How much are these worth if they're sold to other players? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:76.179.16.225 (talk).

I know I am quite late on this... But... Please remember to always sing with "~~~~". Secondly, the wiki is not a means for price checking. Refer to GWGuru if you need a price check. Or, use in-game methods. ~JasonBacon User Lena Sig.png talk 03:31, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Dopps in gw:en ?[edit]

I got one of this in alcazia tangle as a drop when i was alone there in HM. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Mystic Gohan (talk).

Probably as a reward for the Quest, "A Justiciar's End", also, sign your comments with 4 tildes (~) 74.15.36.246 00:50, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

The point?[edit]

I must be missing it, because I don't see the use in teleporting the revived to you after they have been resurrected. This is the same problem Rebirth (or was it UA?) used to have. --Seventh 12:41, 27 May 2011 (UTC)

They are moved out of range of the monsters where they die thus not drawing aggro. ZencowUser Ox rider Sig.png 11:35, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
That's how Revive and UA work now, but not before. They used to be like the Scroll - Revive, then Teleport. Results in aggro. Now, Rebirth is Teleport corpse, then Revive. The Boz 18:18, 15 June 2011 (UTC)

Frozen Soil[edit]

Does it work under Frozen Soil? The Boz 14:49, 15 June 2011 (UTC)

"Creatures in range cannot activate resurrection skills." Frozen Soil It's not a skill, so in theory, should not care about FS. It's easy enough to test: suicide a hero, spark up FS, and use the scroll. (Whatever the results, we should post a note on both articles; it's the kind of question that will come up again.) — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 16:54, 15 June 2011 (UTC)

Outposts[edit]

Does it work in outpost anyone tested? because description says nothin about that. 82.161.39.143 16:47, 1 August 2011 (UTC)

Really late answer but, could you name an occasion when you're definitely dead in an outpost (Halloween pumpkin-head's emote contest doesn't qualify, since you're rezzed) 87.66.75.92 12:48, 14 May 2012 (UTC)

Bugged description[edit]

Double-click to resurrect all dead party members within earshot at 25% Health and zero Energy. Party members resurrected in this manner are restored to life at your location. This item cannot be used in PvP. So it actually says party members get their health back at your location, while they actually rez first, then teleport. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 213.93.179.145 (talk) at 16:04, 2 September 2011 (UTC).

Yet another stupid Anet change[edit]

This scroll was originally designed just fine as it was only for PvE, yet Anet decided to remove the teleport feature. With such stupid changes, should I even take a chance on GW2? 24.8.249.129 17:00, 13 July 2012 (UTC)

Teleport was very useful and i have absolutelly no idea why it was removed, the energy gain is usefull too, but still. And honestly, i would pay a lot more for next part of gw 1 than gw2... 89.75.129.15 17:46, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
Before the update, the resurrection happened before the teleport anyway, which meant they'd take aggro. I find the energy gain useful so you can actually use things like "Fall Back!" and heals soon after resurrection. Random Weird Guy 18:29, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
@OP: different teams work on GW1 and GW2 and GW1 is in "life support" mode rather than the "explosive growth" mode of GW2, therefore I recommend evaluating GW2 on its own merits, not on how the 3-4 people on the live team decide things. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 21:49, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
I've heard a few cases of this scrolls being used in a few SC runs to skip parts of the content, after a runner goes ahead, as teleport goes though walls. But I didn't think this would happen often enough to be a reason for this change. I'd kind of like to read developer updates or some dev statement to know the actual reason. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 05:47, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
It was definitely because it was widely exploited by the SC community. For e.g. in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QEEp9nhdWo at 4:40 you can see a team glitch through a gate with it (source: http://gwscr.com/forum_old/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=656). It was used for a whole bunch of other maps as well 64.31.8.146 17:36, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
Rez scroll bug was the best thing on gw. fuck this

I find it amusing that they probably didn't fix the bug, but rather did something to work around it. I'd wager that if you had an effect that teleported (NOT shadow step) after resurrections the door glitches would still work. They probably did this 'fix' because they couldn't come up with a way to fix the semipathable terrain.

Also worth noting is that res scrolls were the only effect that teleported after the res occurred. They could probably have just flipped the effect to fix this since it appears that you had to teleport after the res occurred to actually get inside the doors in the first place. For those that don't know, if you can get inside terrain that is sometimes pathable (doors and gates), you are free to move around within it until you step outside of it. A perfect example is the gate to the north in pre, or any of the plant doors in urgoz. Once you are inside those doors, you can move, even when they become closed. It was probably originally intended as a way of preventing people from getting stuck in doors that closed on them. This is unrelated to the door bug which allows monsters to push you through closed doors. That bug probably has something to do with tiny gaps that occur because of floating point values not having infinite precision. 69.183.220.72 20:51, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

It has nothing to do with ressurection, only teleporting. All teleport skills have been fixed previously (several years ago). Bug-user deluxe team knows how it all works.
