I have not seen moss spiders drop spider legs. That portion may be inaccurate. Prof alf 18:20, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

Killed every moss spider I could find and all were level 2 with no drops in both Regent Valley (pre-Searing) and Green Hills County. Prof alf 21:04, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

Used a regular salvage kit on a stack of these Post-Searing and all I got was Chitin Fragments (no bones). 68.164.80.223 02:20, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

Good place to get this?[edit]

Do you know a good place hunt spider legs in pre-searing? - Decollete 08:59, 23 November 2008 (UTC)

It's really not hard to farm, just go into the Catacombs or outside Fort Ranik, almost every spider will drop one. --Gah User Gah My Name Cant Fi Echomending.jpg Eat my uber regen. 23:25, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
I'd recommend following the route from Fort Ranik for the quest The Orchard, killing all the spiders along the way. Pick up the apples, drop it immediately. Kill the spawning spiders and move back a little further than the T-splitsing where the orchard path seperates from the suggested path, killing more spiders. Then just follow the suggested path. Map for farming[edit]

The "Farming" description mentions picking up the basket of apples, but the suggested path linked to does not take you to the basket of apples. Should this be updated to include a route to the apples? I think a map that goes to the apples, then swings back to the path shown is would be good.--Jvinniec 04:14, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Added a new map to include Apple location, as well as continuation of route Ymaster44 23:35, 19 March 2011 (UTC)
I've updated the farming section detailing the Regent Valley route with Ymaster44's map, and cleaned up the description which implied that the basket needed to be carried to trigger the additional spawns, when just picking it up is enough. I'm still not sure why the Aloes are included in the description or map as no spiders seem to spawn there. ninestories 22:07, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
There is uncertainty about whether the Basket of Apples increases foes number, Talk:Basket of Apples. We need to confirm if it isn't just the quest influence. What happens with and without it in the log screen. I think the original contributor meant something like: "-When you see the Aloes, turn West-". For reference, I did test this several times on different characters, some who had completed area quests and some who had not, and found no difference in the number of new spider spawns with and without carrying the basket back. Simply touching it seemed to be enough. ninestories 16:04, 25 September 2012 (UTC)
