Talk:Taste of Death
Judge's Intervention?[edit]
If this will kill a minion, but they are enchanted with divine/judge's intervention, will they be saved? Wouldn't be a bad spike to use this on a minion enchanted with judge's intervention and death nova, then putrid flesh. Barkingllama 08:12, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think life stealing is affected by divine intervention; only direct damage would trigger that. so no, I don't think it will work. Wandering Traveler 18:17, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
- According to Judge's Intervention it does "Combine well with minions". So perhaps at some point it'd work. --Elvoran 19:12, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
Hm... wouldn't this have been good with the old Necrobomb? 1/4 cast time, no recharge. Or does this jswut not work if you have no minion? 72.222.217.198 04:06, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
Was there an undocumented update for this skill? I no longer have to switch targets to a minion to trigger this skill, it seems to steal life from the closest minion now, if no minion was targeted. Instead of getting the "Invalid Target" message. 69.129.199.244 07:00, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
Underrated skill?[edit]
This skill is seriously underrated because it is overpowered. Good for AB and CM, great hard healing in the expense of a minion.--71.191.59.25 19:13, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
Hero Usage?[edit]
Anyone know how well heroes use this? If they limit themselves to only using it in dire circumstances or whether they spam it to regain 10HP instead of waiting on a monk? Darke 07:20, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
- They use it well iirc, not necessarily only dire situations but not to gain 10 health. --ஸ Kyoshi 07:41, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
- My hero doesn't use this skill at all...
I've tried with this build (ofc having in the party a Minion Bomber hero too): Soul Reaping=8+1 Blood Magic=9+1+3 Death Magic=6+1 Curses=5 Restoration Magic=11
Even disabling all the hero's restoration skills, Taste of Death was never used. --Aria Frost 13:13, 9 July 2012 (UTC)

- Just tested Taste of Death with my necromancer heroes, they do use it by themselves - usually around 50% health but definitely when less than that. If you'd like to test this, walk out of an outpost with your necromancer hero equipped with a support spell that sacrifices health (e.g. Blood Ritual), Aura of the Lich (which doesn't need a corpse) and Taste of Death in their skill bar; when you manually force the hero to sacrifice their health to 50%, the hero automatically uses Taste of Death on its minion. 02:58, 10 November 2020 (UTC)
