Talk:The Jade Quarry
And how about change the objectives so all professions be able to play here with the same success that other's classes have?[edit]
It´s obvious that some classes have a lot of advantage while playing in Jade Quarry. Not all professions can cap shrines and not all professions can be well complemented with the second profession. In my opinion if only the middle shrine could be taken by both sides it would be more fair to other classes, leaving one shrine to the Luxons and other to the kurzicks. Then the battle with other players to kill or snare the turtles or Juggernauts it will be more apealing. Silvajef 23:36, 1 August 2012 (UTC)
- ANet don't care. They're focused on GW2, and if you ever thought they cared about Bot Quarry, you'd be deluded. The professions never were and never will be balanced. Enjoy JQ while you can, as come this time next month everyone will be playing GW2. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 94.169.181.150 (talk) at 23:51, 2012 August 1 (UTC).
I'm sick to death of the bot problem in JQ. I asked for help on the support forums and the thread was shut down. I've asked for help directly from Gaile Grey and got no response. I sent Regina Buenaobra a message in Yahoo messenger to ask for help with the bot problem and got no response. I sent actual, physical, typed, signed, stamped and snail-mail letters to Regina, Gaile and ANet's President, Mike O'Brien offering for free and under their rules to help manage the bot problem in Jade Quarry and their response has been utter silence. Not even a "Hey, thanks, but we're working on it."
So yes, whoever the anonymous poster above is, it seems as if you were 100% correct, NOBODY at ANet cares about Jade Quarry, the bot problem, or those of us who are still playing Guild Wars, because GW2 is all they care about now.
I'm certainly not spending another penny on any ANet product unless and until they prove me wrong. 69.141.86.44 00:39, 26 August 2012 (UTC)Ubaid Panahasi
Jade Quarry nowadays[edit]
Let's not pretend not to be aware of the botters and leechers' problem (Leechers being worse than botters since they do not cap or kill). I think one good point of JQ today is the unbalance of the two sides. One side has usually much more bots than the other (currently the luxon side), meaning winning from the other side is easy and not meta-dependent : you can go without Wastrel skills, RoJ, Fire ele nuker, Death or Blood necromancer or Barrage ranger and still score a win. This situation is very interesting since it allows for build freedom. Play non-meta builds from the player side, meta builds from the botter side, and you may have some challenge. Of course, the best solution would be to remove bots plain and simple, but not sure we'll have many fights then (see what happens to FA and AB with the lack of players).--Ruine Eternelle 08:27, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
- I wouldn't really even bother with "fixing" JQ in any way, were the botters removed the arena would more or less die instantly (at least until said botters get new accounts). Also the imbalance isn't an issue on normal gameplay, since both sides give the same Imperial faction. Just play from Kurzick side if you want to farm faction, if you need a Luxon win for faction cap, get a few friends and sync your entry so you get to the same team. Syncing Luxon teams usually take Kurzicks by surprise and end up winning handily. Jeree95 (talk) 09:56, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
- I've experienced that too. But solo players sometimes look for challenge or fun too.--Ruine Eternelle 09:57, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
- While I dislike bots, they are the only reason why I'm getting into battles almost immediately. It had been a ghost town for ages, but I'm glad to see there's still some activity going on, even if it's just bots. 220.255.4.24 07:23, 29 September 2015 (UTC)
- Bots allow easy win (especially when syncing) for the JQ zaishen combat and JQ double week, both of which happen quite often. The imperial faction can be used to get the required 200zkeys for HoM or luxon/kurzick faction for the allegiance rewards. As a cartography fan, if bots give me the opportunity to map JQ then I won't object to them being here. Bots only get zkeys, i.e. money and zaishen title, a title which was created for hardcore pvpers and like all pvp titles was intended to be unreachable. However it is possible to buy zkeys, which explains why a couple of powertraders have it. No need to say that I have difficulties respecting that title. So bots getting zkeys are no big deal. I'm more troubled about bots getting luxon/kurzick faction and dedicating it to a guild to get or maintain control over a big town. I remember [BGW] holding Cavalon for ages while having no active (or at least extremely shy) members.--Ruine Eternelle 08:25, 29 September 2015 (UTC)
