Talk:Vanguard Annihilation: Bandits
Forgot to login when I made this page. The reward I listed is for level 16. Also, could someone tell me how to upload a picture, I went through all the trouble of mapping where the ringleaders are.--Yojimaru 00:29, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
- Same reward for level 13. I don't know how to upload a map, sorry 84.101.140.84 00:34, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
- I think the spawns are random. I did the quest myself and then again with a friend, and the locations were different. 98.234.130.164 00:43, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
- Bah, I hate when they do that.--Yojimaru 00:48, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
- I haven't done this quest enough times to be sure, but it looks like enemies will spawn in roughly the same locations -- if you can't find any in a spot they were last time, they're probably somewhere nearby. They also seem to be fairly evently spread across the map; I found three on the northern path and three in the southern woods. --Wormwood 02:39, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, did it twice, accidently (don't zone until quest is complete /doh). What Wormwood said is correct. Sardaukar 03:52, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
- Anyone know the level req to get these? my current pre char is lvl 5 and cant get them, I'll keep checking after every level I get. EDIT Nvm, found it on the langmaur page. Prob should put it on here too so stupid ppl like me can find it Obby Armor is Ugly PERIOD!Why? Ask me on my talk page =Pantil Swift 05:23, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

NPC Help[edit]
The group that was on the island in the middle of the valley ended up patrolling towards Ivor Trueshot and he killed them for me :P 24.67.200.220 17:53, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
worst quest ever[edit]
Took me an hour and 35 minutes. I was able to summon fire imp twice. Should have been 10k xp. Ramei Arashi 04:51, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

triva[edit]
i don't think that this quest page is the right page for that quote.- Zesbeer 06:55, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
- Agreed. If anywhere, it should go on an overall "Langmar's Quests" page, which as of this writing, looks like it hasn't been created yet. --130.209.6.42 11:09, 4 March 2011 (UTC) (Wormwood, unable to log in right now)
Research of what level of foe that wil spawn[edit]
So far i have done this quest on 2 different characters. 1 level 16 and 1 level 12. I teamed up with a guildie of mine.
- When we made a team of a level 12 and a level 17 character we got level 15/16 foes.
- When we made a team of a level 16 and a level 17 character we also got level 15/16 foes.
- When we made a team of a level 12 and a level 11 character we got level 8/9 foes.
More info is needed :). Silencio 08:07, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
- I had a single level 16 character and got level 11/12 foes. --Adul 08:43, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
- Level 13 and I got level 8 and 9 foes. 86.163.215.69 10:39, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
- What about the reward ? Wasn't it supposed to be level-dependent too ? 84.101.140.84 11:16, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
- Level 14, foes level 11 and 12. No change to the reward... 84.101.140.84 14:15, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

I've just tested what happens when a low-levelled character with the quest active parties with a high-levelled character without the quest. The low char was 11, the high one was 19, and mobs spawned at level 15/16. They were also at 15/16 when said level 19 character went by herself with the quest active. --Wormwood 13:35, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
who put this sentence into the page? "Note: The level of the standard foes will be three less than that of the highest level player in the party; Level 10 parties will see Level 8 foes." not only it is wrong according to my experience and those posted here but it is also contradicting itself. level 8 is not three level less than level 10! so can somebody please replace it? I can however confirm the 11/12 for a level 16 char and the 15/16 for a level 17 char when being leader of the group or solo.[[109.130.50.168 02:58, 5 March 2011 (UTC)]]
- I put the note on the page because, at the time, it met all the data I could find (posted here and from my guildies). The sole exception to three levels was the L10 party. In some cases, people forgot that the higher level character determined the foe levels. I apologize for making things hard for you.
- In any case, ANet apparently decided to follow a less obvious rule. Also, folks haven't been posting how many foes appear together, which might also vary. For example, do L16 players see 1-2 L15/16 foes while L17s see 2-3 foes? — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 05:35, 5 March 2011 (UTC)

So this quest is recursive?[edit]
In that you cash it in, and you can redo this quest over and over? Because I've completed it on my W18, but I'm afraid of clicking accept without 100% confirmation from GW Wiki. --Ulterion 08:26, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
- yes but you will have to wait 9 days until it comes around again. no in the sense that its like zcombat quests.- Zesbeer 08:27, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
- So is it just better to abandon and re-accept the quest? Or just get 5/6 of the Ringleaders and just rezone? --Ulterion 08:45, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
- If you want to earn as much xp as possible every day, yes, it's better to do that (and go collect your reward once you're done for the day). 84.101.140.84 11:18, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
- yea they are daily quests. with what i would assume be the same xp reward.- Zesbeer 11:24, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
- Just rezoning might do the reset already for you. At least one guildmember told me that leaving the area did reset the questprogress. Yet another thing we need to study. Wil it reset for all quests or just for this one ? And could we have confirmation that rezoning does reset the quest and the spawns? Silencio 11:59, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
- I can confirm that rezoning resets the quest and the spawns if you have not yet killed all six groups. I don't know what happens if you've killed all 6, though. --Wormwood 17:54, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
- If you have killed them all you need to abandon the quest and pick it up again. Just did that some three times. Nice run for this quest once you learn a good route through the mobs - VileLasagna 18:49, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

foes u need to kill to complete[edit]
I can't prove with a screenshot right now but while i was doing this quest, I went to the last mob and first killed the leader (quest wasn't over yet), then killed the firestarter (quest was over then) and left the raider there. HF with that.
- Right: the quest only requires killing the ringleaders. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 07:23, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
What's in a name[edit]
Despite the name listed on the map for this quest, I believe more people know the area as The Secret Garden than do as Melandru's Garden. Evidence shows when you click melandru's, it redirects to the secret garden. 69.182.175.212 06:20, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
Experience Farming With This Quest:[edit]
This quest is particularly convenient in regards to spawn locations. If you rinse the group that spawns at the "Basket of Apples" slightly south of Fort Ranik, you can easily amass a great deal of experience in a fairly short amount of time (compared to farming the entire quest, shy of one ringleader). If you exit Fort Ranik, and re-enter, then exit again, every time you /resign you'll spawn at the portal for even faster runs. (This works in every outpost in GW.) This farm is particularly advantageous to levels 14 and 17 when the spawn levels are optimum for experience gain. Often, additional quest groups will appear in this path, making for a possible 7 quest level enemies during one run. - Mythoryk 98.198.141.167
- There is also a Red Iris Flower to the South of that mob too, or in the vicinity.123.208.248.39 01:11, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
Bug[edit]
One of the groups didn't appear for me - searched the whole map but couldn't find it. Anyone had the same bug? 62.167.166.147 20:36, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- I just got that bug this was my map:
http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t54/elementalhero76/gw144.jpg It really sucked. I did get a pink and black dye, but I couldn't finish it.Yumiko ^,~ 22:55, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
Two groups didn't appear to me a the first time I've tried to make this mission, the second time worked fine. I think this can be filled in main page. Menelkir 19:59, 04 June 2012 (UTC)
