Talk:Vanguard Annihilation: Charr
Spawn locations[edit]
Champion spawns appear random, I remember 4 of the ones I just saw, they were: 1) Piken Square 2) Just east and south of the first couple Charr groups as you follow the path in. 3) On the northeast path from the bosses 4) On the far side of the large bridge in the east.
Didn't note the other two locations as I was going. -128.36.184.62 18:02, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- What happen if you have this + the other guy in team have tbe other charr quest from 2 days ago ? does it fill more charr in the zone then ? :D 82.224.68.40 18:46, 9 March 2011 (UTC) nobody
I've been to all the old Charr locations, plus the ones for Blazefiend Griefblade, and also Piken Square, and yet I still have 2 groups left to find. They've certainly diversified spawn points for this quest. Morgaine 19:03, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- Aha! I found my last two groups not far from each other, in the clearing directly north of Ascalon City where there is usually nothing at all. Morgaine 19:17, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
My locations: 1) Piken Square; 2) the western path leading to the charr shrine, at the spot where the sky turns red; 3) immediately south of the hill that borders the western path towards the charr shrine; 4) the field directly north of the wall, between two hills on its eastern side; 5) south-eastern corner, near the bridge; and 6) just outside the castle in the north-east corner. --Wormwood 19:50, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
I've also found had like 2 locations that weren't the same as on the current map, so they definitely have different spawn points... Mithos 21:56, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- People really need to stop uploading maps before they're reasonably sure all the spawn points have been found. --Wormwood 22:21, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
- I've done the quest about 2-3 times now and the points I found (http://i56.tinypic.com/1z57og4.jpg) are slightly different then the ones on the current map. Also 1 group had 2 possible locations (still close to eachother). Not sure how to post a pic, so I've just provided the link. Mithos 13:53, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
Note[edit]
Quest resets if all 6 groups are not killed in 1 (single time) zoning of the Northlands.
- Of course. That's pretty much how quests like this work. MadSkillz1o1 15:15, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
BEST KNOWN RUN[edit]
Iracebeth Crims(MF) on 2-7-2012
Drops from a single run. (2) Charr bags (1) Charr kit

- I don't find this relevant to the quest at all. The bosses are unaffected by spawns, and the spawns themselves don't drop loot or gold.--Kristofferus 18:38, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
Movements[edit]
The Champion groups seem to move quite a lot, I caught a really nice pic with two Champions next to each other in a place there should normally be none. I didn't pull them there, I died in a totally different location and bumped into this sight on the way back:
Sorry for crappy file name :D The Charr were fighting Grawl, so I think they followed the Grawl patrol there somehow... Jeree95 14:52, 18 September 2012 (UTC)
- This is my first vanguard quest and the charr champions do not show up at all for me :[ --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 81.141.104.190 (talk) at 03:22, 10 October 2013 (UTC).
- They did not appear for me either. ````
Ben Wolfson quest blocking appearance?[edit]
I'm quite sure I combed through the entire northlands - no champions. Is it possible other quests (I had the Ben wolfsson quest open) block them?--Cyberman 18:16, 8 July 2017 (UTC)
- No, he shouldn't be the problem. Are you sure you're on the right quest? The one with the charr boss would make charr spawn but not the champions, obviously. Also, is this a one-time thing or did you try to re-zone and this still persists after multiple attempts? If not maybe trying again or retaking the quest can fix it. --DefinitelyNotHanz (talk) 20:19, 8 July 2017 (UTC)
- The description for Footman Tate says that a low-level char (below 10) will prevent these enemies from spawning - maybe the same's here? I completely forgot I had a low-level alt open the gate for me.--Cyberman 19:54, 10 July 2017 (UTC)
- That's the issue then, yes. If a low level alt account is opening the gate, make sure they get you through the first door but don't walk through the second door. First, have your alt log out or fast travel your alt back. Then, with your high-level character in between the two sets of doors, walk through the second door. If it appears closed, you can still walk through. This allows you to zone in with only your high-level character and the low level character won't be taken into account when loading the area. - Infinite - talk 21:32, 10 July 2017 (UTC)
