shouldn't it be "Windborn_ Speed"?[edit]

Borne = supported by. Windborne = supported by the wind. --User Brains12 Spiral.png Brains12 \ Talk 16:51, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Nerfs to every other ele running skill...[edit]

With all the recent nerfs to the other ele running skills, is there any possible chance of this skill seeing use now? Although I suppose Storm Djinn's Haste is still better than this >.< Silavor UserSilavorSigIcon.png 00:08, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

10e cost = FAIL. 1s Cast = FAIL. 10s Duration = EPIC FAIL. No, this skill will never see use outside of the most epic of noob bars. — ( ɔ \ ʇ ) uɐɥʇıǝɹ Reithan Sig.jpg 14:57, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
I'd like to see 5 energy and 3/4 cast time. Halogod35 19:46, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
Imo it would be a more widely used skill with just 5e and keeping the rest of the stats (maybe lengthening the ench length at higher end by about 4s would do). --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngAlex 19:45, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
It's fine the way it is really. If you make it 5 energy, it becomes like an overpowered make haste, powering up monks in splits so they kite all the way. They maybe should buff either the duration or cast a bit, but just minor and wouldn't make this skill give play in proper PvP. Unexist 17:54, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Usage of skill[edit]

This skill isn't meant for self use, hence the high ene, casting and rech. It's more of a party support spell for tactical measures. Horheristo 17:17 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, an ele could use this on a flag running war, since it's such a fast movement boost.

Well, back in the Prophecies only days, I think there were only a small set of skills that actually gave you +33% faster movement. Armor of Mist, Dodge, Illusion of Haste and this come to mind. Escape and other elite warrior stances that were around then still only had the +25% faster boost. So, giving +33% IMS to an ally was a strategic advantage than most of the +25% IMS self-speed stances/enchantments. I agree that this could use a buff to bring it back into what it was then, a support skill. Slap it on your backline to help them kite and such. Currently it's outclassed by "Make Haste!", which is essentially the same idea this skill is. -- Luigi User Luigi Sig.jpg (T/C) 21:40, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
Except that one is unstrippable, instant cast and lasts twice as long. This needs a SERIOUS buff to make it useful. -- Necromancereuphoracle | talk 00:08, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

No hi-res? FFFFF-[edit]

As can be seen here, there's no hi-res version of the icon. If anybody has one, especially if it's one from the beta days (I don't remember there being one but it's been >3 years...), I could use it. And no facking jpeg artifacts plzkthx. --Jette 04:04, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

One does exist, but it is not much better than the small version. (and this wiki doesn't allow upload of an "optimal" file format anyway, like .tiff or something) Vili User talk:Vili 05:34, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Sir Bertran[edit]

Just notice that Sir Bertran is not providing this skill. Is it just me or do other people not see it as well?

SOC?[edit]

Why is there an entry for the Signet of Capture? --Cyberman User Cyberman Mastermind Sig.gif 17:08, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

Many skills that are not available until near end-game can be captures before they can be purchased. Plus some bosses do not have elites. Spotina Talk 17:54, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

Net speed calculation?[edit]

How was that done? Shouldn't it be: BoostedDuration*1.33/(BoostedDuration + CastTime+AfterCastDelay) ? e.g. for the minimum of 5 seconds: 5*1.33/(5+0.75+0.75)=1.023= +2% Targetdrone (talk) 18:05, 28 April 2017 (UTC)

You need to subtract the AfterCastDelay from the BoostedDuration in both the top and bottom of your fraction, reducing the benefited time on the top, and nullifying the ACD term it in the bottom. The enchantment starts to work after the CastTime, but you don't get to move yet due to the AfterCastDelay. Moving time = Duration - ACD; Total time = CT + Duration.
Or, if you prefer to see it all broken down like I do, read the text in orange on this page. I haven't crunched the numbers again to confirm what they got. G R E E N E R 18:36, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
