- Actually, it was because at the time of tagging the account was unregistered (see IP's talk page). But yeah, irrelevant now :P--Fighterdoken 22:08, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
Feedback suggestions[edit]
Hey there, I created Feedback:User/Targetdrone for you (via Feedback:Getting started), which acts as a home page for your suggestions. It should also make it easier for you to create more. -- Brains12 \ talk 16:35, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
Persisting renewal effect[edit]
Strange anomaly indeed. Perhaps elemental spells are higher on the pile and therefore removed first, triggering re-apply of Vow of Piety. Interesting... If we assume that it is due to the "elemental spell" part, then perhaps one should check if elemental hexes works the same with Recurring Insecurity (remove all hexes with Convert Hexes or Purge Signet). Just an idea, but otherwise good work on finding this bug.EDIT :Nevermind, it seems like using a hex removal removes Recurring Insecurity regardless of the presence of remaining hexes. Did you see what happen with elemental+non-elemental enchantment ? All elemental enchantments ? Other profession (mesmer, necromancer) enchantments ? --Ruine Eternelle 14:31, 28 March 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks, found it a year ago, only just got reminded of it by a comment and decided to add it to wiki. The final edited version in wiki seems a bit less accurate than my original edit though- the term I used "elemental enchantment" is a specific meaning (just like elemental hex and elemental spells), and it seems like this anomaly interacts differently with "remove all enchantments" skills compared to "remove X enchantments" skills. Merely losing all enchantments to remove X enchantment skills (e.g. due to Strip or Rend Enchantments) doesn't reapply Vow of Piety. I didn't test with mesmer or other enchantments- need another player for that. Feel free to test it if you can. Anyway it doesn't seem like it'll be so useful in PvP (where most people use strip, rend far more than gaze of contempt). Maybe someone can find a use for it in PvE (running around with +24 armor, elemental enchantment speed boost and second wind for a self heal+on demand renewal of VoP, add fleeting stability perhaps?). But seems to me existing PvE stuff like shadowform builds would still be better. Targetdrone (talk) 16:08, 29 March 2016 (UTC)
- Did you try Purge Signet vs Recurring Insecurity + Elemental Hexes (e.g. Rust)? Purge Signet is a "remove all hexes" skill, most of the other hex removal skills are "remove X hexes" not "remove all hexes", so if there is a similar anomaly those other hex removal skills won't trigger it similar to strip/rend enchantments not triggering the anomaly.
