"Leafstorm will clean your bones."
Living her early years in a little village outside Ascalon City with her mother Annette Landru, Emiline learned the ways of the ranger at an early age from Ivor Trueshot. One day while she was out hunting, she encountered a moss spider that appeared to have a fondness for her. As she walked up to the spider she realized something different about it, there was a leaf shaped marking on its back. Emiline and the spider instantly connected and she named it Leafstorm. Emiline and Leafstorm travelled all around Ascalon together, from the Barradin Estate to Fort Ranik. Then came the morning of the searing. Emiline woke up to find fire falling from the sky, she saw the wall, The Great Northern Wall, destroyed before her very eyes. Her and Leafstorm ran through the screaming citizens, as fire reigned down from above, picking off char as they ran by. As they came up on a shaman, Leafstorm was badly injured by the charr's Fire Storm. With one shot from her bow Emiline took out the shaman and carried Leafstorm to a nearby cave for safety. There they stayed for days until they no longer heard the cries of battle. Once things calmed down, they crawled out of the cave and couldn't believe their eyes. Everything they had once loved was destroyed, the only thing that still remained remotely intact was the city of Ascalon. After further investigating Emilene found her old village inhabited by the charr. They had burned everything. The charr were killing the remainder of the villagers, and sacrificing them to their gods. Among the dead, Emiline spotted her mother. She fell into a blind rage and before she realized her and Leafstorm were standing in the middle of a group of dead charr. After that day she was referred to as the Molten Archer, for having been the only one in her village to survive the Searing. Since then, Emiline travels around Tyria with her faithful companion, Leafstorm. Taking out their petty vengeance on any enemy they come accross.
