The author has evaluated Version 3.1 for almost a year and is currently evaluating version 4.0. With any software, a reader must ask some basic questions:
- Is it genuine?
- Is the website reliable and safe?
- Is the author respected in the GW community?
- Does it look legitimate?
Even then, there is always a risk to use any software. The intent of this discussion is to describe a software that the author has evaluated for almost a year. The fact that other players have evaluated the software and commented on it in other forums, show that it is not a totally unknown thing floating in cyberspace. From earlier responses to this subject, it has been clearly established that this program is not widely known in North America. Therewith the need of this article. Light always come through knowledge and prejudice born in ignorance.

Software Description[edit]
MappingOut is a standalone software that has maps, collectors, elite skills, greens and pet locations. It will keep your info organized. It is one of the many tools available for a more fun and diverse Guild Wars experience.
Features[edit]
- Complete maps of 3 campaigns plus Eye of the North
- Divided in regions
- Elite skill location with info including boss names
- Elite skill tracking for each of your character
- Show which skills remain to be captured in any area to be visited
- Collectors and their wares as well as what they are asking for it
- Locations for unique weapons
- Notes on map locations created by the user, reminders, extra info, etc.. * Editable sticky notes on the map put by the user Ex: when was this treasure visited? and by which character? (Is it time for a second visit?)
- The ability to control what is displayed on the map
- The ability to keep track of collected elite skills and greens for each character
- The ability to see at a glance which Elite Skill has been collected by any of your Characters in this sense, it acts like a mini database.
