Normal Chess? As it's been ages since I've played, so rocket chess and the like might be a bit beyond me at the moment. Oh also, be prepared to win very quickly as I really do blow at this. ;) EDIT: oh also you can choose what colour you want to be, as i don't mind. -- Salome 09:50, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- yayz! - Y0_ich_halt 17:35, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
ye, pawn warz xD - Y0_ich_halt 19:20, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- LOL, Philidor would be proud of us. XD -- Salome 19:28, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- more like pwn warz :)> - Y0_ich_halt 19:32, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- Lets clear away a few of these pawns then shall we? -- Salome 19:48, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- hmm... - Y0_ich_halt 19:53, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
know what i mean by "diverted by actions between turns" now? - Y0_ich_halt 20:19, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- I have to admit i was a bit surprised by your move. was wondering if i had walked into some cleverly concealed trap you had laid for me. PS their seems to be something confusing with your captured list in your game with wizard. It says you have captured both his knights but he still has 1. Did one of his pawns reach the other side or something? -- Salome 20:28, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- hmm, yes, there's definetely something wrong there. also, yes, you kinda did :)> - Y0_ich_halt 20:36, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- even if it wasn't planned, this is nice to trap your bishop up there. can be nasty, those runner guys. - Y0_ich_halt 20:37, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- LOL, i dont mind, I absolutely hate bishops anyway. I always overlook them. I'm just not good with diagonal lines. :) -- Salome 20:41, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- in case you overlooked it, this is check XD - Y0_ich_halt 20:57, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- LOL, indeed. Told you I sucked at this game. ;) -- Salome 21:22, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- BALLS! lol -- Salome 21:33, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
- still not lost, though... if you get a pawn through she's back ^^ - Y0_ich_halt 15:03, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- Indeed but chances of that aren't high. However I think its time for me to start bringing my rooks into the battle As they've got off too lightly thus far. :) -- Salome 15:07, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- as long as you have two rooks mating could be harder ^^ - Y0_ich_halt 15:24, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- check. - Y0_ich_halt 15:24, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
- Check -- Salome 20:09, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
(Reset indent) nice :D - Y0_ich_halt 20:21, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
- not as nice as the fact that your king has legged it. -- Salome 20:23, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
- LOL -- Salome 20:24, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
- ROFL i actually forgot to put it back XDD - Y0_ich_halt 20:30, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
- LOL, thought so. -- Salome 20:32, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
- was funny because in the previewed image, the king was where it is now, but it seems inbetween i thought about it again and removed it. - Y0_ich_halt 20:36, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
- LOL, admittedly for a minute i was like "well that's one way to get out of check" -- Salome 20:40, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
(Reset indent) Check. -- Salome 11:16, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
shoulda remembered "i suck at this" always means "i'm afraid i might lose this even if i'm not that bad so i'd better not raise any expectations i might not meet"... say that myself often enough. :P - Y0_ich_halt 17:11, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- LOL. but I REALLY do suck at this. Been about 3 years since I last played and that was shortly after teaching myself chess off the back of a cereal box. It's weird though, I think from the pieces I have left, I should be on the attack but instead I've ended up playing a defensive game as I don't want to lose any of my rooks. Which I think if I keep playing this way is gonna get me mated. -- Salome 17:40, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- and now, finally, all the stupid pieces gone, time for me to check you a bit :D - Y0_ich_halt 18:10, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- LOL, yay! -- Salome 22:15, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- Check. -- Salome 21:33, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
- aw, i guess this is goodbyie then :( - Y0_ich_halt 12:50, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry YO, but it was fun though. :) -- Salome 12:01, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
- why are you apologizing? because you fooled me into recklessness? :P - Y0_ich_halt 18:00, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
- Moi? I did no such thing!*innocent look* So are you gonna move matey or are you coneading defeat? -- Salome 18:47, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- might as well finish it :D - Y0_ich_halt 16:34, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
(Reset indent) your move matey -- Salome 15:14, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
- LOL, for the love of god move. Ive been waiting for 3 weeks to finally beat you. ;) -- Salome 21:33, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
I give up. BWAHAHAHAHAHAA!!! - Y0_ich_halt 21:52, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
- ARGHHHHH! Thats it, if you see an overly tall irish fella coming down your street, brandishing a very dull spoon. you should probably run. ;) -- Salome 21:54, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

Move List[edit]
I'll come back to this after dinner, if you don't mind. Want me to leave a message on your talk when I'm back?— Ebañy Salmonderiel 19:14, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- sure, no problem. no need to message, i'll see if you made your turn ^^ - Y0_ich_halt 19:32, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- Too late, I've messaged. And is this a standard opening you're using, or something, because I'm just making it up as I go. — Ebañy Salmonderiel 19:34, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- i don't think there's something you can call standard opening... first move e2e4 woulda been sicilian defense for example and there's tons of other openings named and recorded, but i think what i'm doing here is total crap o.O - Y0_ich_halt 19:36, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- Damn you! No castling for me. — Ebañy Salmonderiel 19:44, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- (By the way, I play by the check – no castle rule.) — Ebañy Salmonderiel 19:56, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- aw, he figured out the right move... what to do know... (btw, we play after the rules noted above which contain that rule ;) - Y0_ich_halt 20:10, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
(Reset indent) Well, it isn't in the rules you linked, I checked. You just said no moving across marked spaces. — Ebañy Salmonderiel 20:15, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- it is, i even added where above: 3.8.a.ii, right below the castling example image:
(1) The right for castling has been lost:
- if the king has already moved, or
- with a rook that has already moved
(2) Castling is prevented temporarily
- if the square on which the king stands, or the square which it must cross, or the square which it is to occupy, is attacked by one or more of the opponent`s pieces.
- if there is any piece between the king and the rook with which castling is to be effected.
pwnwed ;)> - Y0_ich_halt 20:21, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- Neither of those are what I was saying: I can't castle now I've been in check. Anyway, I don't know why I'm playing so defensive now. — Ebañy Salmonderiel 20:27, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- ah, you meant the rule once checked no more castling for all of the game! i understood your comment above as what i quoted here: no castling as long as you're under check xD if you want to keep to that rule, you may, but i won't since it's not set for games here :) - Y0_ich_halt 20:39, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- ... stupid move by me there. Ah well. That's what I meant when I said I was rubbish: I make fatal mistakes. Rematch tomorrow, or maybe from before I moved the knight? — Ebañy Salmonderiel 20:40, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- ya, let's revert this little mistake... this kinda relieves the frustration from all the lost games in the past week ¬.¬ to know there's other people who make mistakes :D - Y0_ich_halt 20:43, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
(Reset indent) Yeah. This is one of the two reasons why I didn't enter the tournament (the other being I missed registration). I am going to move that knight, by the way: soon! — Ebañy Salmonderiel 20:46, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- in that case i'll just go on and murder your pawns a bit. would i translate it from the german chess terms i would now kill your farmers :D - Y0_ich_halt 20:54, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'm going to leave it for today, too tired (sorry for not playing after that, I was busy trying to get a template to add onto the Alliance nav to work for extended alliances) — Ebañy Salmonderiel 21:20, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- same here. - Y0_ich_halt 21:22, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
/me wants to resume play — Ebañy Salmonderiel 09:38, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- i'm too busy dealing with all these comments >.< - Y0_ich_halt 18:23, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'm playing really badly right now: there's no use trying to go straight to the endgame. — Ebañy Salmonderiel 20:26, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- ebany, ebany, ebany... i suggest you take a nap and come back after that ;) revert again? - Y0_ich_halt 20:28, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- ... I didn't even see that... Let's make that a second win to you.— Ebañy Salmonderiel 20:34, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- ok ^^ - Y0_ich_halt 20:41, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
(Reset indent) I'm not going to be playing again until the weekend, so you can archive this if you want. — Ebañy Salmonderiel 18:39, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
- no big deal. will be one less game to think about xD - Y0_ich_halt 19:32, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

- Hi there..
- This certainly looked interesting =)
- (I didn't see any rules about joining in, so I just jumped in and made the first move. Hope you don't mind.) --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Titus The Third (talk).

- Then the white king for his second draught brings forth his queene, and placest her in the sixth house, in front of his bishop's pawne. - as they would say during Shakespeare's time. -- Titus The Third 08:47, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- what exactly is that from? - Y0_ich_halt 16:34, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
- woops.. here I go, making a fool out of myself. That was not a quote of Shakespear's. I found that sentence on the net while reading about chess history - more than one place and connected to Shakespear. But when I now searched it up again to find the true source I realised it said "A text from Shakespear's time", which obviously doesn't mean it was Shakespear's text. I'm afraid I couldn't find the true source though.
- aw, this kinda sounded like Macbeth. - Y0_ich_halt 13:42, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry Y0, totally forgot about our game, which you may have noticed by now. Don't think I'll be able to follow it up either I'm afraid, so feel free to just remove the entire game from your page. I like your initiative to do something different here on the wiki though, keep up the great spirit! Was fun as long as it lasted. Best regards, -- Titus The Third 17:32, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
