Give feedback to Runners here:[edit]
If you would like to provide feedback to individual runners after the running weekend, then please feel free to leave a comment here. Each of the runners will be working out of the goodness of their own hearts to provide players with a means of easy transport to Rata Sum, so I'm sure each would love to see some encouraging words. --Bunny - Angel talk 15:01, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you!
- I would like to say thanks to the runners who picked up my group from Vlox's Falls on to Rata Sum as soon as I got there - Nightshade Special Jonny10 08:43, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- I have put my personaly thanks to all the runners on the main page, but it doesn't hurt to mention again here: SO MANY PEOPLE asked me to thank the runners and KISS for doing this event! Consider this an attempt to relay their thanks as a whole from the community, although it's not half as much as you all deserve. --Bunny - Angel talk 18:54, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you!

- Thanks for the update Graaf. I just have one question before I update your times: GMT doesn't equal the time in the United Kingdom at the moment, so please confirm if that's what you meant. The UK is currently on BST at the moment (Brittish Summer Time), which is GMT+!. --Bunny - Angel talk 07:27, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

- Thanks for registering Nick, however I can't put you in the list if you have no guaranteed running times or it will likely confuse people. --Bunny - Angel talk 18:08, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- bunny im on like all the time dont put times up just put me on the list because i can run it all myself just put as anytime apart from friday i can do all the weekend
- Thanks Nick, but at the very least you need to tell me what time zone you are in before I can put you up. I'm pretty sure you don't plan on running for 48 hours straight over the weekend to cater for both our Europe and American players, so it would be nice if people can at least work out when you'll be sleeping. I can't just say "all the time" because it's an international event. Times for people are only a guide, they're not exact. --Bunny - Angel talk 07:15, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

oh okay bunny im on bst time
- Sorry Nick, I have removed you from the list because you didn't show up yesterday or today for your runs. If you show up later and want to run people, it's up to you, but I can't have you on the wiki page as a confirmed runner if you're not online for most of the day, it's misleading. --Bunny - Angel talk 12:14, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

Time Zone Converter[edit]
If you are trying to work out what time you need to be in an outpost, please use the Time Zone Converter.
If you use this link you can easily convert FROM the time a runner says they are available TO your time (provided you know where you live, lol). For example, if you want to attend any of the run times listed as BST (British Summer Time), please convert FROM the time zone "Europe/London" to YOUR time zone.
Below is an example of how to convert from 18:00 PM BST Friday 25 April 2008 to the Time in Chicago:
Player Running Builds[edit]
Nightshade Special was kind enough to share the build he plans to use for stage 5:
- Build Code -> Ogek8pq5ayiD6uBOBbv4O2r496C
- Gear -> Caster Axe (20% +5e) Shield: -2dmg (while in stance) +45hp (while enchanted)

Running Maps[edit]
Stage 1 - Boreal Station to Gunnar's Hold:
- This is a fairly easy run but it's a good to stop in at Eye of the North on the way in case you get mobbed going through the narrow pass that leads you to Gunnar's.
- You barely even need running skills so don't panic about getting a flash running build together.
- I ran it on my Elementalist with only the skill Drunken Master and all I had to do was navigate through patrols.
Stage 2 - Gunnar's Hold to Olafstead:
- This is a very easy run, so again don't panic about getting a running build together.
- This is another one I ran on my Ele with only Drunken Master as a running skill, and to be honest I could have run it naked.
- All you need to do is avoid patrols and you'll be there in no time.
Stage 3 - Olafstead to Umbral Grotto:
- I think this is moderately difficult run. You do need some maintainable running skills to loose mobs, but it's not too painful.
- As long as you are faster than the enemies, and you pause to look for logical gaps in patrols, you wont have any problems.
- The tricky bit is after you go through Verdant Cascades where there are fast moving mobs appearing from all sides.
- The trick is to keep moving, and if you're really clever, lure things into each other (things tend to fight each other in this area).
Stage 4 - Umbral Grotto to Vlox's Falls
- This run is pathetically easy. Seriously, it only takes 5 minutes in total, possibly less.
- All you do is run through the first level of the Vloxen Excavations dungeon, but you DON'T run through the dungeon gate, you run through the Asuran Portal instead.
- The players in your team don't need to have any special quest to get through this, just run on through and you'll all appear safe and sound in Vlox's Falls.
- All you need to get through this dungeon is maintainable speed at 25% to 33% above normal.
Stage 5 - Vlox's Falls to Rata Sum
- This is by far the most difficult stretch of the run due to the amount of slow downs and hexes.
- Even with a maintainable speed boost, you need a spell blocking cover or you can't make it through the area alive.
- To be honest, even with a spell cover it's difficult, but we have found the safest path to get through so don't panic.
- Be careful, time your spell blocking skills, avoid patrols, and take your time.
- The most successful builds for this area use the elite Shadow Form or Vow of Silence.
