User talk:Edmond The Ranger
The wiki doesn't do price checks. Or buying. Or selling. Or auctions.-- anguard 00:39, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- I have to disagree, as this is my talk page, not a significant part of the wiki. Edmond The Ranger 00:40, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
*sigh*. I don't want to be a bastard but policy states that you can't remove comments. That said, it doesn't say you can't talk about pricing, so... That's up to someone with power to decide.-- anguard 00:43, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Oops, I didn't know that I couldn't remove comments, but is it alright if have your permission to do so? Edmond The Ranger 00:52, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Doubtful, I think you can archive them though.-- anguard 00:54, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- How would I do that? Edmond The Ranger 00:57, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

Hi[edit]
Hello everyone, I am new to this wiki, but not to wiki's in general, I hope I can help. (please say hi back) Edmond The Ranger 03:26, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Hi back. You told me to say it D:-- anguard 03:28, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- I knew that was going to happen. But anyway, do you think i set up the archive ok? Edmond The Ranger 03:28, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- It looks fine except that you did it way too early. You generally archive talk pages past 32kb, and it gives you a warning when you go to edit the page.-- anguard 03:30, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Ahh... but you see, this archive is where I put comments that are inappropriate, pointless, or don't need to be on my talk page, such as our earlier conversation. That way I can keep my talk page clean. Edmond The Ranger 03:31, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Recycle Bin, there you go. That's a good way to do it. For me, it's just easier to archive entire sets without picking and choosing.-- anguard 03:33, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Glad you like it. Anyway, looks like I have something else for the bin! Edmond The Ranger 03:34, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

Its not vandalism, its fact. Think before you criticize...98.207.210.93 04:24, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry, but i have seen vandalism by unknown ip addresses lately.
Change to Essence of Celerity[edit]
The buff was reduced to 20% with today's update. -- Wyn 05:26, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry, I guess I missed that. Since my work on other wikis, I have become paranoid about small edits by people who are not logged in, I will pay more attention next time. Edmond The Ranger 05:31, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Here we have a rule called Assume Good Faith which means basically if you aren't sure, don't just revert, check the information. Anonymous editors are welcome here, and their contributions carry as much weight and validity as those by registered users. :D -- Wyn 05:35, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah... Sorry, I just had a thing like that happen on the Elder Scrolls wiki, it was attacked by people making on number or letter changes, but, yeah, next time, I'll pay more attention. Anyhoo, unless you want to say anything else, this is going in the recycling bin. Edmond The Ranger 05:37, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

Archiving[edit]
Please stop archiving your talk page every time someone posts on it. The general rule is topics should be left for a week at least. There may be others in the community that wish to comment on discussions. Also, nothing that you have archived fit YOUR definition of things that should be archived "Ahh... but you see, this archive is where I put comments that are inappropriate, pointless, or don't need to be on my talk page". -- Wyn 06:24, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry. Edmond The Ranger 15:28, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- I hope the rest of your GWwiki experience is less... confrontational. But as the Assume Good Faith policy stated, you kinda have to re-learn other wiki's rules. I was like you when I went to the UESP wiki (Elder Scrolls), I thought I knew the formatting but even the codes work differently.-- anguard 23:15, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks. I appreciate it. Edmond The Ranger 23:41, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
