Events

Hey! Since you want us to take it to your talk page, I figured I will do just that. What I would like to say on this topic is that if our wintersday event is such a hard time for people to find due to the name Why not move the "Updates, news and events" to where "Latest in-game activities" is and then move "Latest in-game activities" down to where "Updates, news and events" currently is. I am totally against changing the event name for our event as for reasons already stated. However for the up coming year, maybe we can name the page alittle more different like this: "Wintersday in July - 2010" or "Wintersday in July - 10". As for the page format, I understand what you guys are saying about that. Maybe allow a section for small events. For instance "http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Community_Events/Mursaat_Rally" Maybe adding another section like that will be good. I would still like to see that big events be allowed on the main page area. As for the page formats and such, I will try to do more along those formats, though I think a smooth transition into that type of format would be a good idea. Your thoughts? Your opinions? See, that was kind of my point, you just pretty much voted there. You gave no reason for the change and I find myself unconvinced. If 40 other people did the same thing, I would still be unconvinced and probably more than a little miffed that I just got overruled by sheer weight of people with no explanation. Imagine for a moment that a majority of people on this wiki were vandals. If put to a simple vote a policy forbidding the reversion of vandalism could be put in place. It would pretty difficult to argue for that position considering the goals of this site, so I can't imagine consensus passing for that unless everyone opposed to vandalism could not form any kind of coherent argument.
