User talk:Nay the One and Only
Personally I am sick and tired of guilds and alliances charging people to join up, or demanding faction donations or dues for no reason other than making them their unwitting work-mules. Something needs to be done, like implementing a way to report bad guilds. Of course it would require very strict guidelines and proof such as screenshots to protect innocent guilds from ragers or mischevious no-gooders. greed is what drives these guilds to this kind of behavior and it is very childish and unfair. Nay the One and Only 01:22, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
- I have never stumbled upon a guild that charges to join. I have heard of it from a few friends, but when there are so many guilds to choose from, it is quite counter-productive unless your alliance is 'influential' in the faction farming scene. Koda Kumi 19:40, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
- Since around the middle of last year over half of the people that I have found wandering around guild-less and invited into our guild have told me that they used to be charged for everything they wanted to do or needed help with. And a few of the guilds I invited into our alliance even said there was a 10k admission fee just to join and then on top of that they were lied to in order to keep them farming faction for the alliance. For example, one guild, who was fairly new to the system, joined alliance X and was told in order to get through factions campaign they had to farm faction and donate it every weekend or be kicked from the alliance. Now obviously this was a faction farming alliance, but they did not recruit this guild as a faction farming guild. They told them also that in order to unlock any pvp arenas they also had to donate faction to the alliance and donate z-keys, which is completely unacceptable. They were using this new guild as a work mule under the guise of helping them rise in rank and fame. But back to topic at hand, yeah if your own guild is gonna charge you as much for a run somewhere or even for any help at all, then there isn't really a point in being in a guild at all. Nay the One and Only 19:49, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
- Whoa. That alliance leader deserves a kick in the nuts. I really feel sorry for those newbies. Koda Kumi 19:59, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
- What's sick about all of those faction-requirers is that they run it like a business. Instead of playing for fun, they base EVERYTHING on faction and their "Reputation", so to speak. Kalizar, Lord of War 23:22, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
- Agreed, really they only make themselves look even more like tools than they already are. But, moving along to a new subject ;-) Nay the One and Only 01:14, 2 March 2010 (UTC)

Melandru[edit]
Am I the only one that notices the drastic overlooking of the goddess Melandru all throughout the game? I mean Grenth has the UW, Balthazar has the FoW,even Dwayna has various quests you can pick up at her shrines from time to time, but summoning the spirit at the Melandru's shrine is mostly pointless (unless you're getting the usual blessings in factions or NF). I understand that since she is the goddess of nature, the outside world could be assumed to be her domain, but as a goddess she should have an inner sanctum or something I would imagine. If not she got the short end of the stick when her siblings were getting their birthrights lol. Also the Avatar of Melandru, while one of the best avatars imo, costs a whole energy bar to cast unless you have augmented energy and insane e-management if you plan on maintaining it. I think Anet is just prejudice against this overlooked diety. Too bad too because she is my favorite one. Nay the One and Only 01:23, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
- I know it's late but you're right , Melandru is the most unnoticed goddes of Whole GW (though the community says Lyssa is). I want more Melandru! :O She's the best ^^ --The Holy Dragons 17:58, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
WTF is wrong with us[edit]
Why do we all whine to Anet like a bunch of sissy babies....its a FREE GAME! And yes I'm ranting at myself too. I do it all the time. Get sucked into an argument and out comes my inner spoiled child. Honestly we're lucky Anet is even making GW2, much less that they kept it free to play. Is it really so important to people to rant and rave over stupid points that, in all honesty, if fixed the way we want would only open a whole new string of problems. Gets back to some things I have said, constructive criticism and suggestions would actually fix any problems that might arise. So would sucking it up if your idea didn't get picked. Although your personal universe may be imploding cause someone told you "no" and mommy and daddy can't fix it, not whining about the problems with the game will accomplish way more than 90% of any rant we have polluted this wiki with thus far. <shame on us all> Nay the One and Only 09:43, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
Hmmm....[edit]
On that note above I have been reviewing the things I have written and am largely disgusted by it. I am ceasing any "contributions " I have made to this wiki. If I am dragged down to the level of these petty squabblers I don't need to be posting anything anyway. Farewell wikipeople! Nay the One and Only 09:50, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
- More smart people leaving. This is a bad sign... Koda Kumi 11:45, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
- I think I can intelligently post things now, so I have unbanned myself from the wiki, pending probation lol Nay the One and Only 23:42, 20 April 2010 (UTC)

Watrel's Collapse AKA godsins[edit]
Stupidly overpowered skill. It allows sins to disable any build unless you specifically bring anti-KD. Not to mention sins can already spam attacks faster than any other profession....yes lets give them even more power, total bullshit! I'm sick of cookie cutter collapse sins running rampant in this game. Sins break this game, and until they get reigned in I will never play one again. Nay the One and Only 01:55, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
- And no, Im not over my wiki strike, just posting on my own page so xP Nay the One and Only 01:58, 25 March 2010 (UTC)

There is still hope![edit]
Recently I have discovered that there are still players out there that actually enjoy questing still and just playing the game! I thought all of us went by the wayside when the obsession with endless farming and acquiring junk was more important than having fun, and hanging out. But slowly they have began to emerge from the woodworks and I snatch them up to my guild or alliance before they can be ruined by the "business" guilds that obsess over being "LEET" So to all you old school players out there, I tip my hat at you in respect. Enjoy your gaming the way you want to. And know the Elite Death Society guild and alliance provides a safe haven for all who wish to join with others with similar interests Nay the One and Only 07:37, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
- That sounds awesome. Maybe I can convince my guild leader to cross over to your alliance. Please contact me in-game (Kat Kumi) so we can talk about this. Koda Kumi 10:04, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- Will do Nay the One and Only 19:24, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- You kinda need to get online sometime so I can PM ya xD Nay the One and Only 09:02, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
- I was the only one in the guild who had been online in a week's time, so I left it and rejoined a dutch-only guild. Maybe I can convince them to work together with you, but I cannot promise anything. Koda Kumi 09:27, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah no worries. While we do have people all over the globe in our ranks, its still mostly an english/american guild and alliance. So I don't know if an all Dutch would like it too well, but the offer will be there. Nay the One and Only 04:40, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

To Anet and the Guild Wars Team:[edit]
I wanted to say personally, thank you for all the dedication and hard work you guys put into this game. It has truly been a wonderful experience for me and I know you guys will bring the same quality and devotion over to guild wars 2 as well. Despite all the negative feedback you guys get on a regular basis, rest assured there is much more positive, we just fail at expressing it properly. So don't be discouraged by our endless need for change it simply means we hunger for more of your awesome dedication to our community. So on that note I end with Thank You from the Guild Wars Community Nay the One and Only 00:56, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
Obsidian Flesh[edit]
I must say I am slightly disappointed in the death of Obsidian Flesh. And yes that nerf did effectively kill that skill. I understand the reasonings behind it, all thanks to those pathetic permasins.....but that's another story for another time. I only hope we can find some way to make this skill work again without breeding a new line of "perma driven" farming fiends. Nay the One and Only 08:08, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
- So its not completely dead, I have dredged up a few builds I can make it work with, but its gimmicky at best, and use in regular gameplay is not worth it. I think instead of whining about it, I'm gonna try to come up with a solution, something the majority of us can be happy with (I know not everyone will be happy....you know who you are xP )Nay the One and Only 21:39, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
- With terra tank, i can still use it as well as before.--Neil2250 21:43, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
And now a rant about new guild members[edit]
A quick rant about people who get invited to a guild, having been fully informed of the activities your guild does, and how active you are, only to rage-leave, saying no one ever offered help, or you never go do anything as a guild. I myself have witnessed this, and also know them to be full of crap since I personally offered help to them daily and offered them spots in dungeon runs, missions, whatever, only to be largely ignored. Bottom line: If you're gonna join a guild and expect interaction, you need to realize it goes both ways. Don't be a jerk. Nay the One and Only 04:31, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
- /agree, I've had this happen to me too many times to count. Oh, and I have a sudden and unexplainable urge to give you pie. /gives all pies in the world
- Hooray! Pie for everyone! :D Nay the One and Only 09:01, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
I love this game[edit]
people ask me a lot why I get so worked up over certain things in the game and no, I do not troll (try not to anyway but some of you are good at sucking me in) but I am very passionate about this game. It is a diamond in the rough so to speak. Far too many people take advantage of what high quality the Anet team has for this and soon to be GW2. Go sample any number of other MMO's out there and see if they flow as good, are based less on grind and are built more for actual fun than this one. Not saying they aren't out there, I have found a few obscure ones, but the majority fall short. I know that a large portion of the grief people have running rampant is due to the "less mature" audience of the game, and thats going to be true for any MMO really. I'm learning to pick them out and overlook it. Just take some time every now and then to thank the Guild Wars team for the hard and largely thankless work they do. Nay the One and Only 18:28, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
- I've never met you, but I like you a lot. Nice mentality. -- Large 22:46, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you Nay the One and Only 04:32, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
- I agree. I agree with what you said above too. Are you telling me there are still people who play this game for fun? Lies. Heheh. Anyway, you and I would have plenty of great conversations about lots of stuff, I'm sure. I find myself getting roped into arguments because I'm constantly trying to correct people's bad advice. You're right, though, blind elitism is everywhere. Terek Zelta 17:32, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

It's that time QQ[edit]
Its that time...time for me to hang up the towel and retire. It has been a nice looong amazing run Guild Wars, but until GW2 comes out I think its the end of the line for me. I'll stop in from time to time and sample the new content, but all good things...right? I hope everyone else continues to keep this an awesome game and I will see you all in GW2! Nay the One and Only 04:38, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
Just a "Hi"[edit]
Just wanted to drop a line, honestly not sure if you'll ever see this...
I had to stop by, solely due to your name. One Nay wanted to say hi to another. I'm laughing as our Guild has 3 "Nay's" in it.
Be well, and since I guess we may not see you until GW2, I hope you have fun. If not, just for laughs, feel free to look up SNay Foo if I'm online to get a greeting from another Nay.209.195.184.252 01:10, 6 April 2011 (UTC) (yes, I'm currently too lazy to make a user account on the wiki).
You might see me around, Im gonna start playing again some. Never knew there were so many Nay's out there lol. Anywho, my IGN is Nay of the Ether (for those that didn't know), and yes I am returning to make my mark in GW once again :D Nay the One and Only 19:33, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
