Clearing something up

While your 9 month ban (that was later lifted) was placed by Auron, it was because of me that it happened (as I have already explained to you) and it was based not just on the one instance, but on your history of disrupting this community with your attitude and bad behavior. Bans are suppose to lengthen with each subsequent offense, and you had very recently come off a 6 month ban, so 9 months seemed a fair increment. Your "campaign" to get him removed as a sysop is not helping the wiki, and is just making you look like someone out for revenge. Please do not use "He gave me a 9 month ban!" as your battle cry. YOU didn't issue the ban though, and getting a nine month ban over my first 1RR refraction ever is kinda... unheard of? Someone that violated it the same day wasn't even given a warning, Auron simply said: "I don't care". This shows that he really doesn't care about the community whatsoever, he takes a biased look at everything and anything he contributes/does to the wiki. The ban was issued at MY request... and yes considering your past history, a 9 month ban for ANY infraction is viable, and justified. As I said, the length of the ban really isn't dependent on the violation, but is cumulative based on overall history. Why? mostly because your NPA violation was against me, it wasn't a simple 1RR violation that got you banned, and many would see me banning you for it as personal, and an abuse of my power. Auron's RFA

I know this is not a requirement of a reconfirmation request, however myself and many other users would appreciate if you could provide any evidence of Auron abusing his sysop tools. I have known Auron for a wee bit now and we disagree on a great deal, I even have issues with his communication style, however I cannot recall him misusing his sysop tools since he was granted them. The only thing which comes to mind is banning you and as Wyn has said, that cannot be put on Auron. Further to this, jumping onto peoples pages and basically saying "Lets get Auron kicked from being a sysop!" is victimisation unless you can actually back it up with some reasoning. I am not in favour of people victimising any member of this community and nor will a witch hunt be tolerated. If i see any more posts on other peoples talk pages inciting people to join your wee campaign, without some actual discourse of why and what you think he's done wrong, I will not be best pleased. In short, I don't like bullies and if I find anyone bullying anyone on this wiki, they will be taking a nice long break. I have no issue with you voicing your concerns about Auron, nor do i have any issue with you drawing peoples attention to the reconfirmation request, however you can either back it up or keep it off other people's talk pages. -- Salome 16:10, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

My apologies, I should be more careful with what I say. Further to my points on Auron's RfR, there are currently 12 supports, Auron has had admin for over 9 months. I assure you that the bureaucrats know of the existence of this RfR, 12/27 is a pretty good raw number for after 9 months, I would suggest if they are still deliberating it is due to the quality/lack of the reasoning for votes, hence my recommendation that people elaborate.
