Let's start removing ranged deep wound from the game. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.64.2.163 (talk).

While we're at it, lets remove all ranged cripples too~! Those are inconviences, oh noes~! /panic Lawl, really. Wtf, it's ranged deep wound, QQ all you want. I agree with the above sarcastic remark ._. Well, I hope it's sarcastic. ~ Ryuu Desu User_Ryuu_Desu_Sig.png [Talk | Contributions] 15:30, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
I'm not trolling. Quite a few people agree that ranged deep wound is bad for the game.
I for one disagree - Deep Wound is overrated, it's only really useful in spikes and even then, 1 or 2 people causing it is enough. 145.94.74.23 14:16, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
It's 100 damage. How is 100 damage overrated? Dark Morphon 16:12, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
About time someone posted something sensible.96.233.7.102 13:33, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
It's 100 damage the first time you apply it. After that, it doesn't do anything if you re-apply it. Yet you'll have to keep re-applying it to make your original 100 damage 'stick around'. And wheter the warrior, paragon or monk applies it to the target, isn't important, because that will change neither the spike nor the effect. Did I mention by the way that the only reason it deals 100 damage to begin with is that people are loving their survivor insignia way too much? 145.94.74.23 14:07, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
What you missed was the 20% healing reduction and the addition of a condition which needs to be removed fairly urgently making deep wounds also critical for most pressure builds. You have to do 25% more DPS (well.. 25% more pressure which is more difficult to define) with whatever skill you are taking instead of a deep wound to justify it in a pressure build. That being said, ranged deep wounds are used mostly in spike builds. Misery 14:10, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
While your at it, lets get rid of blindness, I mean how can I apply deep wound to that dang mesmer if I'm blind! ohh wait I can take a condition removal? sweet, that solves the deepwound problem also... MrPaladin 14:12, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, because you obviously have the time and resources to spam removal outside of spikes and time it well during spikes. Blind and Deep Wound are not comparable. 145, the reason everyone runs a survivor insignia is that if they wouldn't, they'd die even of the smallest spikes. Thank power creep for that. Xhata 15:59, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
It's less than 20% in practice though. It's impossible to calculate your heals so they'll heal just as much as is needed, so in practice you'll overheal all the time. That won't get you all the way to covering the 20%, but it's a start. I've tried it and it's not so powerful that it shouldn't be allowed conditionally on a ranged attack that can also be blinded, blocked and blurred, just like the melee unconditional version can. 145.94.74.23 15:05, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Dude, 100 damage. That's far too much when used ranged no matter how you look at it. Big ranged damage is why Rangerspike is overpowered. Dark Morphon 14:25, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
"Find Their Weakness!" shouldn't exist. Especially with "Go For The Eyes!" and Keen Arrow. It turns something already overpowered into... well, something completely broken. User Raine R.gif Raine - talk 16:49, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
It's fuuuuwwwnnn. But yeah, needs a nerf. Dark Morphon 11:22, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
