Thunderhead is 35 minutes of AFK[edit]

Thunderhead Keep is 35 minutes of AFK. User Anvil God AsuraSignature.jpgAnvi God zzz... 02:28, 3 June 2011 (UTC)

It's not reliably AFKable for the vast majority of people who play.
Anyhow, substitute any other super long/annoying mission: K-Xroads, etc. The point is: the z-reward isn't substantial enough to change one's usual plans. (Even after today's gold zoin inflation.) — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 03:16, 3 June 2011 (UTC)

Nice Article[edit]

Nice summary for people new to the market, very well presented, however I do disagree with some of your conclusions. Most elite tomes are worth more than zkeys (an elite rit tome is ~12k - 24g/zoin) and can be sold relatively easily, making zoins worth more than your calculations. Also I think it is definately worth following the schedule as the boost from the zquest reward (coins + cash) makes doing missions / dungeons / VQs as profitable as general farming. Obviously if it is particularly long / difficult and you aren't planning to do it anyway then there isn't much point, but for a general bounty / vanquish you can make 10-15k/hour (not quite on a par with high end farms, but not far off) and you don't have to repetitively farm a particular area or search for a good group. 81.108.128.42 15:54, 15 August 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for the feedback.
I have some responses to your quibbles. First, unless you are a trader (and reasonably good at it), the value of each zoin is geared towards items that you can use...and those items aren't worth all that much. Sure, you can trade for elite rit tomes (and you'll see that they are included in the chart as a great deal). But those aren't anywhere near as easy to sell as zkeys: you can sell 50 zkeys at once; you can only sell elite tomes 1-2 per transaction. That's a value-killer for most people (who want to spend time killing stuff, not sitting around in an outpost). → So, sure, you are better off per zoin converting them into elite rit tomes, but then you resign yourself to spending a lot of time trading.
Even so, in the current market, you might get 24Gold/Copper Zaishen Coin for rit tomes, but you'll get closer to 45Gold/Copper Zaishen Coin by selling silvers directly (2Platinum ea) or even 28Gold/Copper Zaishen Coin for selling golds (2Glob(s) of Ectoplasm ea).
And perhaps I made my point poorly with regard to missions: obviously, it's worth hitting Augury Rock with each of your toons, but, for most people, it's not worth it to change their other activities to hit Thunderhead Keep. i.e. the zoin-bonus is not enough by itself to make it worth going out of your way to hit certain missions. If you're aiming for Guardian, then you should absolutely wait for the T'keep zmish to cycle back. But if your goal is farming, you are better off doing something else.
And, of course, if you happen to like those missions that everyone else hates, then you have an additional opportunity to cash in: learn how to manage T'Keep reliably with less than 7 heroes, and you can charge other players a decent price to let them leech their way into the zoins. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 16:19, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
