Welcome[edit]

Hello, Valhallan, and welcome to the Official Guild Wars Wiki! If you need help with anything, don't hesitate to add a message to my talk page. I highly recommend that you check out the "Welcome to the wiki" page - it's extremely useful as an initial guide. Best of luck and happy editing! Hi - just to let you know: When you wikify something (by adding square brackets), it is only necessary to wikify the first instance of a word. I have been busily correcting this, but I notice you are then returning to revert my edits, eg Decapitate. Please don't do this. Thank you --SnogratTrigsig.png 16:32, 10 April 2007 (EDT)

Image problem[edit]

I notice that you've uploaded an exhaustion icon multiple times. There is a caching problem with the site which means that you have to clear your cache or be patient and wait to have the most recent image appear correctly. So revert to the right image and wait a bit for it to fix itself up. :) --Aspectacle 19:03, 11 April 2007 (EDT)

Oh OK, I thought it was just me not doing something right. I kept uploading the same picture since it wasn't refreshing my old one. Thanks for the head's up.--Valhallan 20:37, 11 April 2007 (EDT)

Skill page headings[edit]

I've seen you are adding heading to the description and progression parts of the skill articles. At the moment the formatting guide says there should be no such headings. There is a duscussion also specifically on not having the skill description heading.
If you disagree with this, could you please post your opinions on the formatting page instead of editing alot of articles. They will probably be reverted quite soon. - Anja Astor Anja Astor (talk) 12:55, 12 April 2007 (EDT)

Oh OK, I saw on the skill format page that they had headings when explaining the topics, but didn't realize that they weren't supposed to be included in the actual skill articles. I thought that it made the page look more orderly, but if they aren't supposed to be there, I'll revert them myself. Thanks! --Valhallan 14:03, 12 April 2007 (EDT)
Ah, I see what you mean! It's not really obvious how it should be. I thought it was meant to be no headings, but maybe it should.. I think Aspectacle knows ;) - Anja Astor Anja Astor (talk) 14:13, 12 April 2007 (EDT)

Those user things[edit]

Hey, could you tell me how you got those (or give me a link to a list of 'em on wiki) user tag...things on your main page? Like the, "This user is naturally a monk". Thanks Morrock 16:45, 15 April 2007 (EDT)

Yep, no problem. Search for category:user templates or category:templates first. After this, find the name of which ones you want (ie template:user monk is the one I used for the monk one, you drop the template: when adding to your main page, however). After this, edit your main page and type {{User Monk}} and it should appear on your main page. Hope that helps! --Valhallan 16:49, 15 April 2007 (EDT)
Thanks. I found the page you were talking about, now I just gotta pick mine out. Morrock 16:52, 15 April 2007 (EDT)
Thanks again, I was trying to get my templates on the left of the page, and info about me on the right XD. Edit: Ahh, so that's how. Thanks again. Again.

You can also create your own userboxes:

{{userbox
         | border-width=5
         | border-color=#0011ee
         | logo-background=#99bbff
         | logo-size=20
         | logo-color=#0011ee
         | logo=BLUE
         | info-background=#ddeeff
         | info-color=#0011ee
         | info-size = 10
         | info=This user likes blue.
}}

gives:

BLUE This user likes blue.

You can change those parameters, or simply omit them for their default values, they are all optional. --Dirigible 17:49, 15 April 2007 (EDT)

Oh OK, very useful to know. I didn't know you could make your own box like that. Thanks Dirigible--Valhallan 17:52, 15 April 2007 (EDT)
Ahh, very nice. Morrock 18:20, 15 April 2007 (EDT)
