Please do not copy things directly from GuildWiki. We are under different licenses, and they are not really compatible with each other, which means it's a copyright violation to do an exact copy. Of course you can take the idea and create something on your own over here :) I'm not sure the article you created is a copyright violation, I'm just informing you, if you didn't know already - anja talk 16:52, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

Considering it's taken me all morning to create this (yes I did use the GuildWiki table as a model because it works) I don't consider it a 'direct copy', but thank you. --Wynthyst 17:16, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
Please read my comment on Anja's talk page. poke | talk 20:33, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
Sorry you felt that way when you responded on Anja's talk page. Please don't think that Poke was trying to "steal" credit from you. He just came up with an alternative instead of forgetting about it. See our GWW:COPYRIGHT policy, due to license incompatibilities, we cannot keep content that is deemed in violation of copyright. You are free to edit the page Poke came up with if you feel you have a better idea to improve upon it. -- ab.er.rant sig 06:28, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
Well, considering the violation tag that was put on my first attempt specifically directed ANYONE who wished to rework it to do it on the temp page so it could be monitored by sysops, yet he went ahead and did it in a totally separate location makes me wonder who all these 'rules and policies' apply to.... I was trying to follow the rules, and learn the right way to do things, and two complete days of work on my part were totally wiped away. Makes me feel that just because I'm a beginner I'm not very valued... and it's a shame, because I was truly enjoying learning and very much wanted to become a valued contributor. As far as me editing his page... he was just as free to edit MY temp page version... which was started within MINUTES of the violation tag being placed on my first attempt. This would have helped me learn rather than crushing my efforts. I DO understand the copyright thing, I just don't understand the coding, or the templates. I have tried and tried to find any kind of help or any list of available style templates so I could do things that would match with zero luck, so I had to do it all from scratch. However... the way this wiki has chosen to organize things is very inefficient in my opinion, having to jump around to several different pages to find out where something is, a simple grid like the one I made is much easier to use, and as Anja noted, actually provides more information in less space, but if that is what the standard format is, go for it... I will just go back to GuildWiki. I just wish I hadn't wasted my entire weekend on this.--Wynthyst 07:13, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
My guess is, he made a new page instead of editing yours simply because his design would be totally different from yours. Isn't it better then to let you make your version, him make his version, and let community decide which works best? If he had been working on your version, I'm sure he would have revamped it totally. Would you have liked that? I can't help but to think part of why he did it on a separate page was to be considerate of you, and let you finish. :/ I know this probably won't change how you feel, but it is sad to lose a valuable contributor. - anja talk 08:35, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
I don't see anything considerate about what he did or said, or the way he did it. His very first comment about the version on the temp page was that he would have immediately tagged it for copyright violation yet again, rather than providing any sort of guidance on how to make it a usable candidate. There was nothing to stop him from providing an alternative on the temp page, so that I could see where I was going wrong. As I've already stated, I don't like the way some of the information is being presented or organized, and while I do understand the copyright issue, and want to comply, I find a simple grid is much more efficient, and user friendly for this purpose than what he has done. If it was an issue with the link tags I was using (W/R/D...) would it have been that big an issue to suggest an alternative? I would like to see people who list themselves as HELPER, actually help, like you Anja. You were most gracious even when I messaged you in game. I find his attitude arrogant and his actions rude. But that is just my personal opinion. Unfortunately, it has very quickly soured my attitude toward something that just this morning I was really excited about. So now I will just put my link tables on my user page for my own use, rather than continue working on it for the community. --Wynthyst 09:08, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Sorry... since it's MY page, I didn't realize it was a problem. I'm still real new to this. --Wynthyst 20:35, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
That's the thing, while your userpage is for the most part "your" page, talk pages are considered to belong to the wiki community, since they're used by all users to correspond with the individuals in question. So talk pages have a slightly more controlled aspect. :) Go to Aiiane's Talk page (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 20:37, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

images

Images you have uploaded are in violation of the wiki's policies due to image naming, and is therefore up for deletion. Any image that is going to be used only for guild or user pages need to follow a specific naming pattern, to ease maintenance. Please see the image policy. Fall 08:10, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

That's fine. I wasn't happy with that image anyway, and was going to request it be deleted.--Wynthyst 09:02, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
Some images you have uploaded does not conform with the naming scheme we use. Image:Gems Of Destiny-logo.png for example, lack the word "Guild" in it, it should instead be Image:Guild Gems Of Destiny-logo.png. I hope this explains it a bit. :) - anja talk 22:57, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
