Clever[edit]
That is indeed a clever way to help with Carto-title. Red is much more visible. -- (CoRrRan / talk) 21:45, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
- Sadly, it's removed every reason I had for not starting the cartography track. Scraping here I come :( -- AT(talk | contribs) 21:58, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
- Is there an easy way to customize or change the colour used, instead of red? Maybe it's just me and my good ole red/green colour blindness, but I couldn't see anything unusual/obvious in the sample images, except for maybe one small fuzzy bit of red in the Kaineng city image...just south of ZinKu, even then I wasn't sure if it wasn't simply red on the map... --BramStoker (talk, contribs) 23:16, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
- Considering that it shows no spots under ZinKu it does not seem work for you.
- You cannot customize color yourself as its hardcoded in mod textures, sorry. Of course you can make alternative mod with coloring that is contrasting for yourself and other people with similar condition (Which I can't do as I kinda have no idea what best colors would be.) All you need is to be bit proficient with TextMod and export textures from 'M' view, it should be 'fogged' ones which you then load to graphics editor and change colouring to be contrasting to map with to give you idea what you are looking for: [1] Zweistein 09:05, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply, I'll have a look at this when I have a bit of free time, anything to make cartography easier :) I suspect (from my own experience) that some in blue/purple will show better, but we shall see. --BramStoker (talk, contribs) 11:52, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

I like the idea, but I don't see how it helps all that much, as it does not highlight which areas can and cannot be uncovered via scraping. Now I'm not asking you to do this, as it would be a fun project for me to work on,(although, you doing it would be totally cool, too) but would it be possible to make a mod like this, but instead of putting red on everything that is not uncovered, only putting red on what can be but has not yet been explored? THAT would make the idea for this mod much more useful.--Lavos 21:25, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
- Thats while being possible would take very long time since you would have to manually trace the lines of uncovered areas on a 100% map in red then transferring that to texture, this mod is primary for finding spots inside the maps. Btw tyrian map dusnt work anymore with the latest map update (GwEn). Biz 15:25, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
