Feedback talk:User/Erasculio/If and Then clauses for AI

If this was incorporated into GW2 then it would definitely give players a lot more control of their AI's actions, and I think it would work more effectively with the way the skills might be designed as well. The only problem is that because of this enhanced custom ability, a well designed gambit can outclass even a well rounded human player, especially with an AI's naturally fast reaction time. Mind you, the gambits are very easy to abuse in FFXII, I think we can avoid having ones like "If target foe is weak against...". This is a great idea though. :) - Xu Davella 01:56, 19 November 2009 (UTC)

^ Going with what Xu said, giving players the ability to decide the fuzzy logic of their heroes(or whatever they wish to call in GW2), might result in abuse, but overall, I think it's a good idea as long as it can't press skills specifically in order to farm etc. Pika Fan 02:23, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
I believe a similar system is used in a recent Final Fantasy game. This is a good idea because arranging skills on a bar doesn't help the AI with priorities. Obviously this has limitations and can't be used to cover every skill to its potential, but with enough "rules" at least you could tune your AI to be more efficient. I would like to see Guild Wars 2 focus on the original strength of Prophecies, and that was team gameplay. Customizable heroes ruined this with Nightfall. This improved AI concept would completely remove the need for human players in Guild Wars 2.--Malchior Devenholm 04:39, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
Based on the information that we've been getting about the game, there's a good chance that we would only have a single AI companion. There's a note somewhere in one of the news releases that says that the game's difficulty changes depending on how many people there are in the party, so an area can be soloed with the same ratio of difficulty as a full party. The main reason that a person would take a full henchmen/hero group in the first place would be because they couldn't solo it themselves. Then again I probably read it entirely wrong. :) (Xu Davella 02:34, 26 November 2009 (UTC))
IIRC, You can either adventure with an AI buddy, or go it alone but get a buff. --User Ezekial Riddle silverbluesig.pngRIDDLE 02:45, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

Urgh, after giving Zenmai Death's Charge and watching her use it as her opening move, teleporting into the middle of a mob and getting herself killed, I can get behind this. --Santax (talk · contribs) 14:51, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
