  2. ...Yes, Yes, Yes! I look on the wiki, see the old hat art, and it kills me knowing that I can never get a hold of them under the current system.--Copper Legray 21:57, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
  3. Aye! But the cost to get them should be high to not take away from the "prestige" of having the older hats.--MushaUser Musha Sigc.pngTalk 02:30, 2 December 2009 (UTC)

  5. Yes please. Even if I must pay money for them in the In Game Store.--Sensei 13:22, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
  6. I'm a veteran player, and I've been to all the festival events since the beginning. However, back in the days before wikis, when wammos still ran rampant, I didn't understand what I had to do to get the hats. I asked in local chat and either I didn't understand, or people were teasing me. So I missed plenty of hats. The Jester hat in particular, would go great with my Mesmer outfit. Her whole armor and weapons are meant to make her look like a harlequin... but I'm missing the hat :-( I'd be happy to buy from in-game store. Lorazcyk 01:54, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
  7. Its a thing that NEEDS TO BE DONE in GW1. I missed a lot of those festival hats for the same reason - didn't know what to do. Even at high costs, or with questss... WE NEED THOSE HATS =( RoyalPredator
  8. In favor, but with strong reservations about implementation that could change my vote. Adeira Tasharo 18:29, 2 January 2012 (UTC)

  2. Cash shops are detrimental for gamers, and a crafting material / plat cost makes the hats meaningless. Koda User Koda Kumi Horns1.GIF 16:04, 2 January 2012 (UTC)

Ambivalent Votes[edit]

  1. On the one hand, I'd love to be able to choose hats that were available before I even heard of GW. On the other, I think it's kind of cool that there are some things that you cannot buy for love or ecto. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 02:32, 7 December 2011 (UTC)

Discussion[edit]

I am rather torn on this issue. I would love to get a chikin head as it is the only hat I'm missing. Somewhat irksome is that I could have had it, except that I spent too much time trying to get my main character to Shing Jea and didn't leave myself enough time to work on a new char and get enough Naga Fangs. As a veteran player, I appreciate that there are some things that are special for us. However, as a collector, I want to be able to get anything and everything. Yes, I am one of those that devoted the space to keeping at least one copy of every hat that I got before there was a Festival Hat Maker. I agree with Koda, and I oppose adding them to the store for RL money and that it shouldn't be as easy as a crafter, certainly not in town. I oppose adding them to the rewards available through Zaishen Coins as well, now that they are tradeable. If it gets implemented, I would want there to be some reasonable (borderline excessive?) effort involved in getting them, especially given that once you do the quest, it is unlocked for your account. Tangential[edit]

Prior to the Festival Hat Maker, I was really hoping to see an HoM storage feature for hats. I think that your HoM would be a fantastic way to show off all of the hats that you have acquired. I can picture them on mannequin heads like so many wigs. Perhaps a quest could initiate from the bald mannequin head in the HoM, if they were added. Adeira Tasharo 18:29, 2 January 2012 (UTC)

Hooray[edit]

Good to see this suggestion was finally implemented! -- My Talk Lacky 14:42, 24 March 2016 (UTC)
