Feedback talk:User/NateGL/Main cities with Guild Halls

Turning an MMO into a real estate business, however much a novelty it would be, is a big turn-off for me. I already find it a little obnoxious that whenever a guild wins in the Hall of Heroes that I have to hear about it. In Factions, it's also annoying to go to an outpost and be greeted to a welcome sign of "Owned by: We Are The Awesome [WATA]" and feel "privileged" to use it like its their home. This kind of personalization creeps into my experience of the game, and I don't like the idea of others "owning" parts of the game. It's my game I'm playing, not theirs. This falls into the notion of Factions' 'town owning', which for the bulk of the player based served absolutely no purpose what so ever. If there were Guild Halls in cities I'd be more for NPC based/story based Guild Halls (think Oblivion's Fighter's Guild/Mages Guild etc), something that could be a hub for quest lines/events. It sounds nice to have your Guild Hall in a main city but, it's just like towns in the Luxon/Kurz sides, pointless to the bulk of the player base as it doesn't serve a purpose other than bragging rights for a few, which is pointless. ~~000.00.00.00~~ 23:13, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
