Time?[edit]

Can't leave your char. drunk in guild hall for about ten minutes to go use the bathroom or get something to drink/eat ? My thinking of your proposal is that too many will try to use this to their advantage, higher prices on booze, etc. I don't see this as being simple, but more complaints. I would like to see the beer, etc.'s effects last longer- like for the length of the duration of time it's to last, instead of weakening so quickly before it ends. ♥ Ariyen ♀ 08:32, 28 September 2009 (UTC)

I don't agree with either of you. While the getting the drunkard title is a very time consuming process, due to the introduction of some of the delver skills, you don't have to spend your time just idling drunk, it's actually beneficial with some of these skills to play drunk. Also, the greater majority of the sweet point items require you to use them in pve play rather than simply clicking through stacks and also give you benefits while playing (removing dp, increasing speed, etc.) If drunkard were to be changed in this way, it would become yet another meaningless title that you could simply buy with little or no actual effort/game play required. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 08:43, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
You argue that its time-consuming to get this title. That is exactly the point of this title. I agree 100% with Wyn. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.pngTalk 03:07, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
Tbh, i think it's dumb to have to click that many times, i actually have 2500 mins just from using skills that benefit when my character is drunk. My wife, however, does not use broken skills pve only skills, so she has to wait and click. Perhaps even allow macros for this title, it's retarded if you have to wait. --adrin User Adrin mysig.jpg 08:00, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
Wyn, it's already a meaningless title that you could simply buy with little or no actual effort/game play. It's just also incredibly boring. User Felix Omni Signature.pngelix Omni 10:30, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
I don't even care about the clicks. It's the stupid wait BETWEEN the clicks. If I have to spend an hour double clicking 10000 times, that's fine with me(and won't even strain other peoples' clients the way spamming snowman summoners does). 6 days worth of time, 99.6% of it doing nothing... not so much. As for the PvE skills, they're "meh" at best, considering they take up PvE slots I'd rather use on skills that will actually do me some good rather than give me an excuse to use the booze. They're good for runs/farms like VSF, but since my main is a ranger, no help for me there. Targren 12:23, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
My problem with it is that the time you can be drunk is WAAAY too short. If you want to get drunk, you drink a lot and stay drunk a lot of time, not 3 minutes. The Tyrian heroes may be stronger and protected by the gods and all that stuff, but I doubt they got also superlivers capable of filtering alchohol in seconds. If instead 5 levels of drunkeness we had 20 or 40, then you could drink the same, and take the same time to get the title, but having to stop to open the inventory, look for the drink and drink much less frequently, disrupting less the gameplay. Thats actually a really good idea. Make it so if you drink like 10 firewaters in a row you're drink for 30 minutes. --adrin User Adrin mysig.jpg 23:04, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
Agreed. Removing the cap would then let you do the same thing: click through an entire stack and go bugger off for four hours while your toon sits in the GH and metabolizes it. It's still stupid to need to AFK for a title, but it's not the first *cough*LDoA*cough*. Targren 03:34, 16 December 2009 (UTC)

Nice[edit]

I like the suggestion, and the suggestions on this talk page are awesome. I would suggest adding something like "remove cash titles altogether", that would be perfect. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ аІiсә User Aliceandsven 1.png ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 20:24, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

So much for that...[edit]

As expected, not even an acknowledgment here nor on any of the fansites. Almost 2 years ago, they completely revamped the Kurzick/Luxon titles because they were "too grindy" and tedious and tacitly encouraged people to bot. Here's a title that screams "Bot me! Bot me! Bot my brains out!" and they won't even look at it. Targren 01:38, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

Looks like you got your wish with the latest update. --Lania User Lania Elderfire pinkribbon.jpg16:19, 06 March 2011 (UTC)
