Actually, its use may not be a violation in and of itself. From mozilla's trademark policy:

  • You can't sell things with Mozilla logos. You can't modify them, and you can't have high res versions of them.

Otherwise, the page doesn't have many restrictions as far as use goes - and I think adding a ™ in the image or text would satisfy the requirement (though i'm not a lawyer).

Additionally, judging from the firefox visual identity guidelines, the usage is within the spec, save for no ™ visible anywhere. If Lensor were to upload a version with a small ™ in the corner (perhaps a shrunken version of this), I think it'd be fine.

Of course, if someone has a different interpretation, feel free to disagree. But my reading suggests that this use would not be an issue. - THARKUN User Tharkun sig.png 08:13, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

I marked it because I uploaded the same one and it was deleted. --Shadowphoenix User-Shadowphoenix Shadow Phoenix Signet.jpg 08:16, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
I have added a "TM" mark to the image (larger than in the example for visibility), so the image should now be allowed to use according to the guidelines quoted by Tharkun above.--Lensor (talk) 09:37, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
Please see one of the other discussions about the mozilla icon. In short: Uploading it here means that it needs to be published into GFDL, which is not. poke | talk 11:48, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
Just for your info Poke, there are at least three other copies of this logo. Also I thought in one of the previous discussions it was decided that if it included the TM it was ok? --Kakarot Talk 12:47, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
