Aura of the Paladin [AP] is an extention guild off of Clan Heavy Metal ]HM[, run by my clan leader Platinum and overseen by myself Sabre Wolf, a Staff Member of the ]HM[ Clan. The goal for this guild will be to teach the ways of how Guild Wars works. We are looking for old vets to help teach, and new players in the game that are willing to share knowledge and help each other on a daily basis.
The ]HM[ Clan itself is one of the oldest in the world of gaming being over 12 years old. Being a member of the [HM] or [AP] Guilds does not qualify you for auto recruitment into the ]HM[ Clan, but you maybe under consideration for clan recruitment after an extended time. The ]HM[ Clan membership as a Recruit is by invite/member vote only. Also note that the logo "]HM[" is a registered trademark of Clan Heavy Metal, so its use as a tag or other methods of branding is prohibited from non-member use (ex. ]HM[.Sabre Wolf.>>.).
For voice communication, we are looking to use either Skype or Ventrillo. We have Ventrillo server available for use, however, Ventrillo use currently Invite only. So look to try to use Skype if possiable. It is always better to have a headset with mic to trade information and get to know each other eaiser.
Recruitment
If you are a heavy GW player or a brand new player to the game; with a kind, possitive and a willingness to help attitude, you are more then welcome to join. I am looking for team players with a willingness to learn, play and listen. If you are #1 player in the world but have a crappy attitude, we do not want you here. We are looking for good players with a team like attitude. We will say seperately that grinding for Alliance faction and such is not required for this Guild/Alliance... we play to learn and have fun.
For trainer purposes, we ask that you are solid with 75% of the skills in the game and are sound with at least 2-3 professions. If you do not meet this requirement, then we can always work on this, teach this, and trap Zaishen to get the skills/equipment unlocked. Officer status will be given on a case by case basis and not within 2 months of recruitment. Officer status will also be offered after the current officers and myself as the Guild Leader, have discussed the promotion. Abuse of officer powers will result in a demotion or kick depending on sevarity.
The purpose of this Guild is to encourge new players to play the game and learn how the game is played to the best of their abilities. So new players to Guild Wars will always be welcomed. But please note that "mooching" will result in kicking from the guild. If you are a brand new player and this is your very first toon on your accout, the entire Guild will (and should), chip in for your first set of equipment to give you the ability to play with everyone else. Chipping in does not have to involve money, but materials or runs into new areas. All we ask is that you pay it foward to the next new person into the Guild/Allience. But constant asking for hand-outs will be frowned upon and monitored by the officer staff. Also please note that officer status will likely not be offered.
Please note that there is no heavy cussing, adult content or racism remarks allowed... minor cussing will be tolerated in [AP] Guild Chat and during PvP matches only. Not in Allience chat, ]HM[ website or most Ventrillo channels. This is a family community with a lot of kids around the member's computers. Some members have kids that enjoy watching their Mom/Dad play the game or play the game themselves. So self censorship is required. Off color or racism remarks and comments will be subject for kick from Guild and IP/Account ban from website and all Ventrillo servers.
