The Misfits of the Oblivion is a new casual guild to the Guild Wars community. Due to the inactivity of our previous guild, in September 2007, a couple of good friends decided to leave and and form their own guild. Recently we joined the MYTH Alliance.

We are primarily a PVE guild aligned with the Kurzicks although we occasionally enjoy fighting Luxons in Alliance Battles. There is no faction farming requirement. Our guild hall is The Isle of Weeping Stone from Factions and has every service.

The concept of Misfits of the Oblivion is to establish a tight-knit group of players who put more value into friendship, loyalty and respect than the game's rewards. Titles, the elite armor, and rare weapons are nice to have, but we want to be more of a guild who focuses on the people behind the characters. To put it bluntly, Misfits of the Oblivion is not a farming or title hunting guild, but a people guild. We are the type of guild that just want to have fun in an atmosphere that is family-friendly and where coop-play among friends is preferred.

We're looking for like-minded people who believe the same as we do. We are looking to grow in size to 25-30 people max. Maturity is a must! The minimum age requirement is 18 years old. However we do believe that age does not always reflect maturity so exceptions can be made.

Misfits of the Oblivion welcomes new players to the Guild Wars community.

If you have any questions, feel free to pm the guild leader or officers.

Contact information

Guild Leader

  • Star Munchkin
    • Nickname: Star / Ed
    • Location: Washington State
    • Gaming Background: Over 25 years of various gaming beginning with arcade games in the 1970’s.
    • Favorite Profession: I love playing the ranger due to its versatility. I never use just one build all the time though. I do enjoy playing as beastmaster and as a varied interrupt ranger of some sort.
    • Favorite Skill/Spell: Read the Wind >:o)
    • Most Memorable Moment in GW: Finally finishing Gate of Madness with my dervish after 3 unsuccessful tries and numerous tweaks to our team build. YAY!

Officers

  • Drek Meer
    • Nickname: DreK
    • Location: near Seattle, WA
    • Gaming Background: I started early with Computer D&D games. I have played Bards Tale, Pool of Radiance, Baldurs Gate, and even some Runescape. There were more, but my old age won't let me remember them. Then I found GW and talked Star into getting it. I didn't get my game for another two months, so his I.G. birthdays are earlier than mine. I have all the campaigns and Eye of the North.
    • Favorite Profession: Ranger, of course, but I like my little warrior, Bambam, and my Necro Zia. Also like my monk Kimi and Sim my Paragon.
    • Favorite Skill/Spell: I like BP and Interrupt builds. Never finding "just the right skills".
    • Most Memorable Gaming Moment in GW: Star and I had fun making BP runs to Sorrows Furnace with Zoo Crew. They made runs with all ranger pet parties. Incredible! Guess it isn't too far from runs in the Tombs with BP's.
  • Rylor Knuce
    • Location: Denver, Colorado
    • Gaming Background:I have played some of the games that usually come with a computer, mine sweeper, free cell etc. I have played some single player mystery games such as Shivers and started playing the first Diablo. Then (of course) Diablo II which I played with my older brother, who's IGN is Sordoc in GW. I had some hard times for a couple of years, then my brother sent me a computer that he built for my Bday. It had Battlefield 1942, and some other games on it which I tried a few times. It also came with the first GW Prophecies. I have been "hooked" ever since.
    • Favorite Profession: I really enjoy playing my Ranger the most. She is a very versatile character that can adapt to many different situations, and has a good variety of skills + beastmaster to use.
    • Most Memorable Moment in GW: My most memorable in-game experience was with the GoF players doing the Grand Court of Sebelkeh Mission. We completed it in under 2 minutes !!!!! (which I swear has to be a record). It took us a couple of tries (trying to get Masters) and then we just had the run of a lifetime where everything worked perfectly :-)) I was the Nuker :-)
