Projects

A project represents a focused effort by a group of editors to improve a particular part of the wiki. The Guild Wars Wiki is currently well into development, but there are still a great many areas which need to be filled out and completed, so any assistance on the projects below is greatly appreciated. If you think an area needs improvement and it isn't included in the list below you are most welcome to start another project.

[edit] Community-related projects

  • /User birthdays
A wiki community birthday list, so nobody will forget your birthday!

[edit] General community To-Do list

  • {{image needed}} has been introduced, to be used on articles which are missing images. So if you come across one of those while browsing the wiki, do feel free to slap one of these tags on!
  • Similarly, if you're in the mood to do some wiki work in-game, you can show off your photography skills by taking screenshots for those articles; you can find them all at Category:Image needed.

[edit] Inactive projects

These project are currently abandoned. Feel free to revive them.

  • /Guides
Create guides to help new players get used to the classes.
  • /Guilds
Create and maintain articles for significantly important guilds in the history of GuildWars.
  • /Skills
Keep the wiki's skill information 1-on-1 with the actual ingame descriptions.
  • /Policy Cleanup
Standardizing formatting and wording of wiki policies to make them easy to grasp, follow, and enforce.

[edit] How to make a new project

Create a new article in the Guild Wars Wiki namespace which has the name of your project. For instance, if you wanted to make a project to update the Armor gallery, you could make the article "Guild Wars Wiki:Projects/Armor gallery project".

The project page itself should be clear on what the project is trying to achieve. It may include things like:

  • An overview of what the project aims to do.
  • A detailed to-do list for the project.

Once the project page is ready, remember to add it to the list of current projects above and to Category:Projects with the appropriate sort key (e.g. [[Category:Projects|Armor gallery project]]).
