I like this skill for the damage and bleed effect. However, the stance limit isn't too bad. I think it would work well with Standing Slash, so that you hit them with this out of a stance, go into a stance(like Rush) and slash at them till bleed goes away. StatMan 06:33, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

No, start an attack sequence with this early in and THEN go into IAS. Anyway, I like to make my opponent bleed as soon as I come in. (Example at 14 Strength: FGJ -> Enraging Charge -> Barbarous Slice -> Flail -> spam your other attacks/skills in adrenaline chain. I guarantee you will like it. Hell I don't even use FGJ depending upon which heros I bring). +damage is basically the primary point of this skill, not the bleeding. I'd much rather waste adrenaline getting unconditional +damage, even when I'm not in a stance, than waste energy (*cough* Pure Strike). -Jarrkha

Good Synergy with Heket's Rampage as it will give you the IAS need to have good dps and this auto cancels when u use an attack skill. Yes you will get the bleeding effect if you use Barbarous Slice while Heket’s Rampage is up. And since Heket's Rampage has a relatively short recharge time/low NRG cost it’s easily spam able. I like doing weird builds so I rock out with about 9 BM but its doable with about 5 BM just use it to build up your adrenaline attacks, use said attacks then resume the stance.68.26.244.221 17:42, 19 November 2008 (UTC) Auron Bushi

On a completely seperate note, I find this skill to be a little awkwardly-named. Firstly, because "barbarous" doesn't mean "barbed" as the icon would suggest, it simply is a synonym for "barbaric," as in, "like a barbarian". And second, because, who ever uses the word "barbarous"? Why not just call it "Barbaric Slice"? lol.

Anyway, to contribute to the gameplay-related discussion, I bet this skill would work VERY well in conjunction with Berserker Stance. Berserker Stance lets you maintain a constant IAS, and ends when you use a skill... so, whenever you want to use Barbarous Slice, your stance would automatically end, allowing for maximum effect.

Berserker Stance is terribad, you need your IAS while your using your skills or you have a shit spike. This skill is terrible on anything and is only ok when used with horrible skills.71.120.169.240 23:16, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

combines well with the other couple of sword skills that benefit from no stance. Running this on my jora those two non-blockables savage slash and Wars' Endurance. Having 1 adren skill helps keep energy in check and makes having adren purposful Justice 23:19, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
