Size note.[edit]

"Second largest" scythe seems a difficult thing to confirm, and somewhat unimportant as a note; by that logic, we should go start listing the "second", "third" and perhaps even "fourth" ____ist things within the game, which really wouldn't benefit articles at all, in the end. We should leave comments regarding the opinion of an item's appearance to the reader to decide for themselves. In fact, I'm pretty sure there's a policy or something about that somewhere. :> User Ryuu R.jpgRyuu  *bite* 08:35, 3 June 2011 (UTC)

How is it hard to confirm? How is it not a fact (if it is true)? An unusually large size is fitting for the trivia section IMHO. — δ(x) 14:52, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
In the article for the Asuran Scythe an actual comparison view is offered to show the difference in size between the Asuran and the Icy Soulbreaker (was the Soulbreaker the largest before the Asuran?). Before one could say that it's the second largest, I would think a comparison between the three should be shown. That way you have fact, not opinion. Trivia - regardless of how "meaningless" it is should be based on actual fact - one that can, and is, confirmed. Mawgleah 15:18, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
It doesn't really matter that confirming this trivia is quite easy, having it means that it would be appropriate to have such trivia for every second largest weapon of its type. Having it just for the largest ones is more than enough (even that is a bit too much, but whatever). I suggest completely removing the inane trivia. razor39999 18:03, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
Why not do a comparison once and for all and edit the trivias to note the demotion of Asuran Scythes 'biggest' status if Envoy Scythes are indeed bigger? If not then don't change any of the trivia. -Wrei110.175.241.56 09:14, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
It is not being noted for being the second largest; it is being noted for being unusually large. The fact that it's second largest is just to make it explicit. — δ(x) 19:36, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
Somebody tell me why this matters. In what way is this NOT useless information? Are people actually searching the wiki for the biggest scythe and second biggest scythe? This belongs in a trivia section because it is useless, or trivial, information. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 19:42, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
"Are people actually searching the wiki for the biggest scythe and second biggest scythe?" Yes. That's why people included this note. This note is as trivial as the image of the weapon. — δ(x) 06:35, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
I constantly search this wiki for cool and/or big ass weapons. Especially daggers. →[ »Halogod User Halogod35 Sig.png (talk ]← 03:31, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
By it's very definition, trivia is not a necessary or vital piece of information. It just means that someone decided they wanted to add a tidbit that someone might find interesting. I don't have an issue with someone spending their own time to provide such information. For the most part, I enjoy reading the trivia, but I still believe that if someone is going to insert trivia such as "item a is larger than item b", it should not be the reader's responsibility to search for validity of that fact. Just because someone claims something to be fact doesn't make it a fact. A comparison or other validation of the trivia should be provided by the person inserting the trivia - otherwise it could be construed as just one person's opinion and I don't think "opinion" should be used as trivia. Mawgleah 20:13, 12 June 2011 (UTC)
I figured I'd turn opinion to fact and provide evidence that it is in fact the straight-up largest scythe in the game. I'm aware that the slight body angle change of the character's shifting could misconstrue the results by a smidgen - but that'd be if they were already that close together. It's quite clear which is larger. Envoy Scythe and Asuran Scythe. 24.74.162.94 02:00, 6 October 2011 (UTC)

Salvage[edit]

Someone salvaged two of these? Random Weird Guy 20:36, 30 June 2012 (UTC)

I believe that one of the test krewe experimented in beta, after someone posted about the result from expert salvaging of gold zoins. I also believe that results were extrapolated to all Envoy weapons from a few tests on others. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 21:03, 30 June 2012 (UTC)
