2012-01-05 update[edit]

moved from Talk:Game updates

But Eles were already viable in PvE Hard Mode before the update e.g. for stacking up AOE damage, and for "my secondary is my primary" builds ;). In a random PUG it's not bad if you have more than one or two eles, in contrast many warriors only works well in some cases: smashing a single enemy like Shiro to pulp, or more properly planned team builds. I see plenty of Eles around in PvE. The Paragons are the ones with a hard time, everyone only wants them to play Imbagon all the time ;)60.50.246.146 10:52, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

This entire update was stupid. It didn't make eles anymore viable, it just overbuffed ele enemies, the new development team is bringing guild wars away from the original idea of focusing on multiple professions and directing players into a single profession mind set by nerfing the hell out of anything that synergizes. All they've done is make hard mode HARDER without increasing the profit of playing hard mode. Essentially it's just a slap in the face to people who actually play guild wars for high end pve. 96.41.174.75 14:28, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
It actually made hard mode a lot easier so long as you aren't only using armor ignoring damage, increased health and less armor keeps the damage pool about the same, but makes healing and regeneration relatively less effective.--Stratzvyda 08:49, 14 January 2012 (UTC)
You guys should be happy they're even changing skills around for you guys these days. The worst Anet could do at this point is not provide any updates, and simply not care anymore. If that day comes to pass, GW1 will officially die. So cherish the little tid-bits of changes they're giving ya'll. Be thankful. Be glad they still care enough to break up a bit of the stagnation. --Ulterion 05:06, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

Hey Ulterion, i'd be happier if they left what works ALONE, everything that had people teaming again and leaving heroes in the shadows, gets nerfed to shit, so the solo skill's/hero effectice skills(yes some skills makes it so even highest end PvE HM is laughable with heroes) dont get nerfed, Shadow Form has been ranking top end in solo farming for well over 2 years now,, and arena net just dont give a shit, because they dont give a shit about PvE...and you guys and Arenanet are dreaming if you think GW2 will have no bugs, Arenanet is a failure of a company when it comes to nerfs...no wonder WoW ended up killing GW in amount of players online --58.166.5.104 02:01, 24 January 2012 (UTC)

I'll only say this once, Don't Feed The Troll.--173.85.196.170 03:23, 24 January 2012 (UTC)

""they dont give a shit about PvE...and you guys and Arenanet are dreaming if you think GW2 will have no bugs, Arenanet is a failure of a company when it comes to nerfs...no wonder WoW ended up killing GW in amount of players online"" Perfect way to put it --121.214.107.62 05:55, 8 February 2012 (UTC)

I like the changes. Shook up the meta a bit. I've created some recent suggestions for assassin, necro, and monk. I'm thinking about helping with ideas for Paragons and rangers so that they can finally shine in PvP. It's high time they started seeing more play. Thanks for the skill changes, Anet! It's good to still see you guys changing up skills every now and again to make things more fun and interesting. --Ulterion 17:17, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
