- Completely? No. The activation time and energy cost of Life Transfer are both lower, so it would be wrong to say that Life Siphon is strictly better. But the absurd recharge time and the fact that it's an elite makes Life Transfer impractical to use (especially in PvP), making Life Siphon preferable in almost all cases. --SoraMitsukai 17:04, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

- I play a blood ranger in PvE. Transfer is > Siphon for this. It reworks a touch ranger skill template, to do similar damage at longer range.

- A good combat opener is Poison Tip Signet, Serpent's Quickness, target the middle of a mob for Life Transfer and Called Shot. Cheap, easy, unblockable maximum degeneration with high regen. Follow up with Necrosis and half-range bow strikes. Hollowboy 05:33, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
