Talk:Scavenger Strike

This skill really sucks. Compare to Predators Pounce which costs 5 less mana, has the exact same cooldown AND (at level 15) deals +35 damage and heals your pet for 50 HP. This skill costs twice as much mana (10), has the same cooldown, does only +25 damage initially, and +15 more if the foe is suffering from a condition. I'll take the guaranteed +35 damage and 50 hp gain for 5 less mana, thanks.

Please buff this skill Anet.

Nrg management for...[edit]

Rampage as One, great. --Underwood 05:43, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Yep, that was my first thought. We're gonna bring back the good old days! >:D Arshay Duskbrow 08:26, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
This skill replaced my Brutal Strike lol, and I finally have a non-elite energy management ability now. --Relax and Play 16:39, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
now if they would introduce better energy management for monks, the whole game would equal itself out.--72.189.85.47 02:26, 15 September 2008 (UTC)
thats why there are secondary professions in the game tbh78.20.153.111 10:53, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

Notes[edit]

We really need to take out that the notes section, cause if we list one skill that simply causes a condition and scream synergy, maybe I'll just start adding every skill that unconditionally adds a condition. Looks like great synergy with Blinding Flash, right!? I think the synergy listed goes in the "duh" category. If someone can't figure out the synergy between a skill that causes a condition, and a skill that get's better if an enemy's suffering from a condition, there's probably no helping them and they should uninstall 64.254.191.194 00:18, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

Agreed, someone should remove216.167.213.148 09:20, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
Poisonous Bite happens to be in Beast Mastery, which frankly is, the same attribute for Scavenger Strike... But you're exactly right about figuring out the synergy. And of course you are fully allowed to remove to note by yourselves. :p If somebody disagrees, there will be further discussion. Mediggo 09:23, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
The three most popular skills'd be Poisonous Bite because it's unconditional and in the same attribute - I agree with the synergy note, Barbed Spear because it's unconditional, too, and R/P probably is one of the most preferred combinations for beastmasters - I'd disagree because the mentioned R/P spearchucking beastmaster uses plenty of condition-causing skills - and Crushing Blow because it needs energy itself and is part of the prominent Thumper build which heavily relies on energy - I'd agree as this build may be in severe need of Scavenger's Strike if spamming skills/being hindered. 128.176.178.50 09:57, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
*kicks all thumpers and spearchuckers in the arse* We were just talking about Poisonous Bite here tbh. :P And I'm going ahead and remove that note now, kthx. Mediggo 10:02, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

Synergy with Strike as One?[edit]

Does the condition resulting from Strike as One trigger the energy bonus from Scavenger Strike? Can someone test this? I would, but I can't atm. --74.7.6.178 14:53, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

ALL conditions let you get the energy boost.. . as long as it has one, you get energy.

Heroes?[edit]

Anyone know how hero AI handles this skill? Elwynd 15:58, 8 December 2011 (UTC)

My ranger heroes use it just fine when the target has a condition and they're low on energy. I dont know what the threshold for low energy is, though. *Malganis Frostmourn* 12.106.72.10 17:38, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
