Possible synergy with Cranberry Jelly Signet and Irresistible Potatoes? - Image:User HeWhoIsPale sig.PNG HeWhoIsPale 15:54, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

ANet must've been hungry when they came up with this skill. Seriously, wtf. It even sounds stupid to say. Ebon Vanguard are weirdos. --Heelz 22:47, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
Tryptophan Signet... How is this not an Asuran skill, I mean they are the only "scientific" people I'd think of using a name like this! Btw Tryptophan is a protein found in high concentration in turkey which tends to make one sleepy. Concerned User 1337000 05:48, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
Yeah... Seinfeld comes to mind. He feeds his girlfriend wine and turkey, then plays with her toy collection when she's asleep. Too funny. --onoes! Mafaraxas 07:07, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Progression

At rank 4 Vanguard, this lasts for 14 seconds, and foes move and attack 22% slower. --onoes! Mafaraxas 22:53, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

At rank 5, lasts 15 seconds, foes move and attack 24% slower. --onoes! Mafaraxas 07:45, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

I can't test this because I'm nowhere near close to mallyx, but wouldn't this be very helpful vs him? AFAIK it would be the only way to slow his attack speed and one of only three able to slow his movement (other two being ward against foes and muddy terrain)

It worked nicely against Shiro and lasted the full duration, so i'd imagine it works just as well against Mallyx. - 79.76.17.32 12:37, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
This skill is useless n95% of them time. Raptaz 14:20, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
95% of the time is NOT all of normal mode, especially if you're counting the two Shiro fights and Mallyx (although who really fights him in normal mode now adays). This skill is great for fighting tough monsters in hard mode, like bosses or tough end-of-game foes that come by themselves or in a small mob. There are plenty of places to use tryptophan in Tyria. Eh, oftentimes people want SV/SS/Empathy on those bosses instead to speed up the kill. But I agree, this does have its uses. --onoes! Mafaraxas 20:35, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Bug

I strongly believe this works only on the targeted foe, not all adjacent foes. Tested against Hard Mode Zombie Brutes, which can keep up with players under Dash. When using this sig against a group of Brutes, only the target foe breaks aggro when dashing off, the others still have the same speed. Adding bug tag. RolandOfGilead 08:23, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
