Kailden Jera,

This is one of most difficult things I have ever had to do. You certainly will not like what you are about to read. This concerns your recent incident at GWO which led to your permanent ban.

Most BaRites agree that you are a great person. You have been there for many of our guildies and have lent them a helping hand when they asked for it. You have demonstrated a solid loyalty to the guild and contributed a great deal of your time, energy, and ideas. A substantial number of current members were recruited into the guild by you. Even members of other guilds in the alliance have commented to me at different times in the past how they’ve enjoyed doing a mission or couple of ABs with you. One FoX member told me he was delighted to find a fellow equally passionate about creating and testing builds in your person.

That is why what happened took us by surprise. Regardless your motivations or reasons, you did violate one of BaR guild rules established by Quintus but respected by us all. That rule was to abide by GWO forum rules at all times. When you posted that thread in CDF you were openly disregarding GWO forum rules, you crossed a line into what is considered unacceptable conduct fitting a guild leader. Threatening to bombard moderators’ message accounts certainly did not help. As the guild leader, you represent all of BaR and what happened reflected upon us all. BaR’s privilege to have private (or semi-private if you prefer) boards on GWO was in danger of being taken away.

Now please allow me to be frank. BaRites have been discussing what happened and it has been agreed that it is in the guild’s best interest to respectfully request that you to step down as the leader. This does not reflect upon what we think of you as a person – only whether if you are able to accord the role of leadership the respect and maturity it demands.

This was not an easy decision to make and we are concerned about losing you as a member. You are still valuable to the guild and many still do hold you in high esteem.

So here is the formal request for you to consider stepping down from your role. Please take some time to mull this over. Many thanks for your time reading this difficult email.

Thanks - Barinthus on the behalf of the guild
