All ten Professions in all 3 campaigns, when creating a charachter. (Discussion)[edit]

If a player has all 3 campaigns on their account, then they should be able to have access to all ten professions when creating a character. This also applies to secondary profession. If player has Nightfall and Factions, then they have access to all ten professions for character creation. Lastly if a player has Prophecies and Nightfall but not Factions, they only have access to eight professions. The core and the two from Nightfall. However there are the options ifg they want a Prophesies character they can create a Dervish in Pre-sear Ascalon.

Just a few obvious things need to be added. First NPC trainers. To make it easy for developers they player has to do talk to Haverden for getting primary skills but for extra and for choosing secondaries have only one trainer per profession that is currently not core in Ascalon. adding collector armours from Nightfall and Factions to existing collectors in Pre sear. As well as weapons. Item drops table would have to be updated. To counter any unfair advantage a profession from Nightfall and Factions skills may create , just use skills that balance that issue out.

Adding Nightfall professions to Factions and vice versa would follow similar procedure outlined above. All skill trainers, collectors, weapon traders and armour traders would need to have updated merchandise tables. With collectors they use same drop item but armour or weapon choices are expanded for the professions.

Lastly for keeping story line intact, no mention of Nightfall or the afflicted etc until Lions Arch, Consulate Docks and Kaening City. Monster drop tables would need to be updated. Keeping the additions to simple non-mission scripting and minimal NPC creation should make a concept like this fairly easy.

As for would not fitting in with lore of game, not an issue 221 AE (1070 AE Searing, see Nightfall Manuscripts- Unified timeline pages 26-27.)of Tyrian calender Cantha, Elona and Tyria all had trade relations. (also in 868 AE some remnants from Turai's party could have ended up in Ascalon.) Even though later Cantha cut itself off there still would have been refugees left behind in each campaign from the other two. Thus ideas, skills and armour weapons and professions would remain. Though not with all skills etc which would apply to a point above. Just no mention of event after Cantha separated itself from Tyria would keep to the lore of Guild Wars. Same concept for Canta and Elona. Also who is to say that for money the corsairs didn't ferry people with knowledge to and fro from Cantha, they are pirates they would make business from the Emperors reclusive policies. Plus for the sake of story trainers could have been left behind on battle isles as well, they could have migrated to Ascalon and Elona.

Why this is a good idea
  •   Why a good idea?? How cool would it be to have Assassins, Dervishes, etc in pre sear. Assassin/Dervish build on "Noob Island" in Nightfall when you are only a level 5 character. Similiar concept in Factions a Dervish /Elementalist.

If implemented well it would not impact on the storyline as there are travelers in all campaigns. It would also encourage people to get all 3 campaigns. You could create the build you want and learn it from an low level.

And again how cool would it be to have Dervishes and Assassins etc in Pre searing Ascalon.

Why it may not work out
  •   Only reason Arena Net don't want to or they don't have staff and time. YET. But would be something for them to definitely consider down the track.
  •   Wouldn't fit in with the lore of the game.
