I believe it is time for a month of a Luxon Domination over the Kurzicks or visa versa. The story in my head plays out as the following:

As the tension grows between the luxons and kurzicks, either the luxons take full control over the kurzicks and the Canthan Empire has to step in to restore a balance because the markets become unstable. There should be a band of Luxons and Kurzicks who want to restore it to the old ways and request the help of the empire. The luxons or kurzicks, who are fighting to restore canthan order in AB, capes turn white while the opposing dominate cape turns green.
