[edit] Laptop
Just saw your discussion on Izzy's talk page... fifty rebates? Can you still use your hand after all those?!
...Anyway, just curious, what sort of laptop did you manage to get with all those rebates? -- Jioruji Derako.> 03:21, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- Acer deal that just ended, Compaq deal starting up. The Acers had a glitch where you could upgrade to Vista Ultimate for free due to a massive software glitch and came with a free printer. The Compaq has neither, but it's a free laptop! —ǥrɩɳsɧƿoɲ〚₮/ḉ〛 03:24, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- Nice... Athlon processors? I'm jealous! I've got a laptop that's probably a bit more powerful, but it's an Intel machine... I like the Athlon processor a lot better. Nice deal. -- Jioruji Derako.> 03:31, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- The Athlon is worse because a Pentium M, based off of the PIII architecture is more efficient than an Athlon laptop processor (Socket754). Socket 754 means it has no integrated memory controller and the processor architecture suffers greatly because of it. Also, I got the Acer. —ǥrɩɳsɧƿoɲ〚₮/ḉ〛 04:14, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- You lost me. I just use an Athlon 64 on my desktop gaming rig because it's generally a better choice purely for gaming, which is what I needed. The Intel chip on my laptop doesn't really make a difference other then personal preference, as the laptop is purely for my graphic design needs and general use. Still, dual-core Pentium is impressive, and a free laptop is nothing to scoff at. You can probably run Guild Wars off that machine... well, depending, I suppose. GW runs great on my laptop, but you still suffer from more lag issues then a desktop, not to mention using a touch-pad interface is a pain. -- Jioruji Derako.> 08:09, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your sig
I personally don't think that your signature follows our sig policy, although input from other users might be good to have. I am referring to the fact that no one seeing your sig for the first time can even guess what your user name is, although signatures are required to identify the user. It doesn't even have your full user name in it, it's missing the m, and the font is very very hard to read. --
(gem / talk) 00:38, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- Has been discussed already. — Skakid9090 00:46, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I can see that. However, some users in that discussion directly said that they are not fully happy yet and I'm definitely not happy at all with this sig. --

- Your gem annoys me. Oh well. — Skakid9090 01:32, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- Nothing in the policy even slightly hints that my sig would be violating it so live with it or change the policy. (or quit posting poor jokes if that's one) --

- Who cares what his name is the first time they see him, they'll recognize him from his sig and/or look at his userpage. His isn't long, it doesn't disrupt text flow, and I actually LIKE sigs like that since it's easily recognizable. — Skakid9090 01:39, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- I actually had no clue what Gem's username was the first time I saw his sig. :p --Edru viransu 02:23, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- As I keep bringing it up, if you're not happy with GWW:SIGN (but you still must adhere to it), please post a question or change proposal on that policy's talk page, rather than going back and forth about it here. -- ab.er.rant
02:31, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- I find it amusing that my sig annoys Gem so he bitches and whines about it but when Skakid brings up that Gem's sig is annoying, he instantly becomes defensive and paranoid. Very very amusing. —ǥrɩɳsɧƿoɲ 02:35, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- I didn't see the 'defensive and paranoid' stuff. Lol at your interpretation of my words. You might not have noticed the discussions going elsewhere at the wiki at the same time Mgrinshpon, but Skakid was posting stupid jokes to multiple discussions and I was getting irritated by that, which explains the tone of my response to him. --

[edit] Admins here and at GW
Your accusations here are as unsourced as they are wrong. You clearly have not looked at all the problems that GW had with admins. I do still remember the endless whining about noone being able to reign in trolling on the build pages, as I do the deletion of said section. How did the GW system prove to be superior there? Not at all. You also fail to realise that we do have working policies in place: You can be warned and banned for calling others "5 year old children" or calling the average contributer "retard". The only reason why you are not is because our current sysops chose not to enforce that policy with a ban yet. --Xeeron 14:44, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
- I rest my case as proven by me not being banned. Wikis are not democracies, they are dictatorships, ruled by the select few who aren't half-wits. —ǥrɩɳsɧƿoɲ 20:36, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
- The reason you are not banned is the application of the rules, not the rules. You respond by saying that this proves GW's rules are better. Does not prove anything to me. --Xeeron 21:52, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Proxy Use
Please don't use proxy servers to sidestep a ban. They are used to positive purposes on the wiki and obvious abuse like this only adds fuel to the lobby trying to have proxy servers banned. I am not saying your use of proxy servers is with the intention to do harm, but it is undeniably provocative. I would like you to show that lobby that they are wrong and there is no need to ban proxy servers. 58.110.142.135 05:29, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
- How have proxies been used for "positive purposes on the wiki"? All the users I've seen using proxies have been making less than constructive edits to the wiki... -- scourge 08:01, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
- Positive use eh? Indeed. Why don't you just make sockpuppet accounts? It's no more shady than using proxies, and since your logic basically states the ends justify the means, it's a pretty win-win solution to your problem. -Auron 08:05, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

- Oh, if we all let PvX noobs (Not to say noobs which are inherent to PvX, but noobs even in the PvX system) get to us, I'd be in the psych ward, miles away from a computer with internet. And I don't even have a PvX account. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 01:07, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
are you referring to droks or grinsh?--

- Who's to say? :) But no, at that point, I was referring to Droks. However, in the light of this recent block, I'm not too sure who it would be if I were to phrase that again. I really can't believe he remade that page. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 17:18, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- Cause it was really horrible for him to do so, and it was really offensive, and he's really forcing everyone to read it. God damn, hit the unwatch button and clean out your - -- Armond Warblade

- Clean out my...cookie jar? Also, what was with you recreating the /Breaking News page? Tell me it's a joke. Or is GWW under attack by the worst hacker to ever
gracebe on the internet? Worst as in the superlative for terrible. Banal. Below average. This is, of course, in respect to the prospective hacker, and not meant towards Grinsh. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 17:31, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

- If making the page is such a fucking horrible offense I ought to be banned by now. People like you and Tanetris don't seem capable of comprehending the idea that the content, and not the page name, is what's in debate. -- Armond Warblade

(Reset indent) Just being jocular, my friend. I really just wanted to do that "worst hacker" bit. Is this a prod in the same vein as this bit, or am I just the fool in another joke? Also, I think recreating the page is a good way to head off grinsh from getting more fun out of recreating it again. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! *Not really--Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 17:42, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

How are the children grinch? --Readem 14:46, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
- They're not bad. I've had quite a few with my crazy sexcapades. And many of them keep getting blocked just because they look like they're my socks. For shame. —ǥrɩɳsɧƴɖɩđđɭɘş
