Welcome![edit]

Hello, Txzeenath, and welcome to the Official Guild Wars Wiki! If you need help with anything, please feel free to add a message to my talk page. I highly recommend that you check out the "Welcome to the wiki" page - it's extremely useful as an initial guide. Best of luck and happy editing! --Santax (talk · contribs) 08:37, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

User image naming[edit]

As I just mentioned at User talk:Elviondale#User images naming, GWW:USER doesn't require any kind of spacing; as long as the word User and the username are there, the image is fine to stay. --Dirigible 07:20, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

A space is meant to be in between "User" and the username in question as far as I know, the user was also given two messages on their talk page stating that fact. If i'm mistaken, feel free to leave the tag off, but please discuss before having a back-and-forth with the edit button. Txzeenath 07:23, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
The first message on Divine's talk page is referring to the fact that the image was named Image:UserRogueNightingale.png (he is missing his own username after the word User). The second message was left by Elviondale, to whom I also just left a message about this issue. The policy doesn't require any spacing, thus there's no reason to delete any images because they lack that spacing. --Dirigible 07:26, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

3 Hero Teams vs. 7 Hero Teams[edit]

I'm not responding to you on Gaile's page because that only distracts from the issue I'm trying to get an OFFICIAL answer on.

Why is it that everyone loves to whine about how they want full AI teams and don't want to play with other players in an online game, when to start with, GW didn't have heroes at all and we did just fine. People have sucked since the start and everyone managed to play and some people did very well. Ever think that perhaps it's the heroes themselves making people suck even more? If you have a monk hero in every party, why should a monk try hard? If a warrior has two monk heroes with perfect bars, why will he ever need a good self-sustaining build(this applies to every profession as well). Anyone using a full hero party generally has the playing skill of a henchman anyway, since all they're doing is relying on the AI to do work they are incapable of themselves.

I play with AI because I do not have a guild to play with because my guild chooses to play WoW and not Guild Wars. People use AI for various reasons..."because they suck" is only one of them. Don't lump everyone who uses AI into the same boat. Many of us are quite skilled and play with AI due to the hostility involved in PUGS due to the "get the job done" attitude of the people organizing the groups. I play to have fun. Many of us also use AI because we are limited on time and may have to leave mid game. Many of us don't want to have the pace of our gameplay dictated to us by other players. There are many reasons people choose to use AI...most do it for other reasons besides our skill level. Next...yes we did just fine with Henchmen before Heroes were introduced. That was Prophecies and Factions...and no Hard Mode. Have you gotten Legendary Guardian or Legendary Vanquisher using nothing but Henchmen? No you haven't...the challenges have increased beyond what they were with henchmen only. They have even increased beyond when heroes were introduced. People who want Full Hero teams simply want to be able to play in areas human teams play in now on easy mode. For us it's called Hard Mode. We don't have the luxury of joining a guild group that enjoys playing together...we play by ourselves and we are simply asking to be able to play all areas by ourselves so that we don't have to rely on PUGs which are at best a pain in the ass most of the time.--Thor79User-thor79.pngTalk 21:10, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
