New[edit]

Yes, my official wiki name. Lucian Shadowborn User Lucian Shadowborn.jpg 18:04, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

Hi Blood/Lucian, isn't that signature an image from Assassin's Creed? WhyUser talk:Why 22:16, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
It shouldn't be, I made sure that it wasn't. If you can get some proof that it is, can you send it to me via talk? I'll put up copyvio if it is. Lucian Shadowborn User Lucian Shadowborn.jpg 22:17, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
(Personaly,I wouldnt go as far as to say three shapes bland (though coloured) shapes is a strait copyright (even though it is from it.))--Neil2250 User Neil2250 sig icon6.png 22:18, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
Alright, so should I reverse the order and make the colors different, or juts find another sig? Lucian Shadowborn User Lucian Shadowborn.jpg 22:21, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

Infobox[edit]

Would you mind clarifying your intentions with the infobox on Guild Wars Wiki talk:Projects/Voice Actors ? G R E E N E R 22:48, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

Sure, it makes my job a whole lot easier plus the logic behind it is, the user puts the info in so any other npc that doesnt have a voice wont get their page affected. It's also for the category of Voice actor which was created in 2008. Lucian Shadowborn User Lucian Shadowborn.jpg 22:49, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
Unfortunately, community consensus was against adding this information to the infobox, rather wishing it to remain in the "Trivia" section of the pages. Please do not disregard community consensus, and do not make changes to templates like infoboxes that affect hundreds of pages without the approval of the community. For one thing, it increases the job queue load on the sever unnecessarily, and should the community continue to not wish that information in the infobox, the change will be reverted, sending yet another wave stress on the job queue. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 23:38, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
That was 2 people, I think before you revert it there should be a decently-held single convo in the infobox talk page. I see no work-load, maybe for me but I'm willing to do it. Lucian Shadowborn User Lucian Shadowborn.jpg 23:44, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
That was 3 or more people, and considering there were only 6 or so in the discussion, I think that is a sizable enough response to tell you you didn't have community consensus. This doesn't have to be done immediately this minute, as nothing gets done immediately this minute when you are involved in a community driven project. Btw.. the job queue, which is normally at 0 is at almost 3,000. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 23:48, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
That's because I did all this within an hour. In about an hour, it'll go down. Server adjusts. Can we keep this as a trial before reverting? If it works out, great; if it doesn't, oh well. Lucian Shadowborn User Lucian Shadowborn.jpg 23:50, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
Just stop what you are doing until you have consensus. That's all I'm asking. You are charging forward with something that people who have taken the time to chime into the discussion are against. Do the voice actors pages. Until it can be determined how it belongs on the NPC pages, please just stop. Is that so hard for you to understand? -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 00:02, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
Sure, I'll do their pages, whatever. All I'm saying is nothing ever gets done when the entire community has to agree, it's an idea that has no wide-spread affect that you make it out to be, however, I'll respect the fact that people need to agree so I'll start a convo that deals with just that. Lucian Shadowborn User Lucian Shadowborn.jpg 00:06, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

Dude[edit]

Stop spamming people's talks. The wiki doesn't work on votes, it works on consensus. There is a difference. ShadowRunner 00:38, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

Fine. Then how do we reach a consensus? Lucian Shadowborn User Lucian Shadowborn.jpg 00:39, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
Through discussion on the relevant page. ShadowRunner 00:39, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
There's a couple of pages with it, I just tried something that will get peoples attention to one. Apparently, it worked. Lucian Shadowborn User Lucian Shadowborn.jpg 00:41, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
That is what this page is for. Not copy-pasting onto peoples talk. ShadowRunner 00:43, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
Didn't know that the page existed to do it. Lucian Shadowborn User Lucian Shadowborn.jpg 00:44, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
Live and learn :D ShadowRunner 00:45, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
Lol thanks man, I'm just trying to force something through the community, this is how change works. Make your voice heard! Lucian Shadowborn User Lucian Shadowborn.jpg 00:46, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
Actually, it isn't how change works. In fact, this is your sysop warning never to pull that stunt again. Making broad, sweeping changes to pages and templates against consensus is a great way to get blocked, not to inspire change. Your intent was to "get peoples attention", which is properly done by the requests for comment page (which you are now aware of). Use that in any future attempts to raise public awareness of an issue - but disrupting the wiki and editing against consensus will only lead to blocks. -Auron 00:49, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
Alright, thanks for the warning, I can see where that could go wrong. Though, honestly, do you think its a worthwhile thing to talk about? Lucian Shadowborn User Lucian Shadowborn.jpg 00:51, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
I just have to comment that "trying to force something through the community" is not the attitude that is going to help you. You don't force, you convince through reasoned discussion, not calling for "votes". When you can convince enough people (most especially those who are against it) that the information is important enough to enough of the people who are going to the NPC pages to belong in the infobox, then you might gain consensus. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 02:52, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
Bleh, I know. Thank you for reminding me, mind helping out though? Im linking the voice actors under trivia with their voice actor page. The thing that everyone was fine with. Lucian Shadowborn User Lucian Shadowborn.jpg 02:54, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
