User talk:Xeeron/suggestions/Make Random Arenas Random

As I can see it. You can't absolutely prevent friends from joining in a RA team, but if such a thing happens, it must be a COMPLETELY lucky and random occurrence, not something you can force or with a way to increase it's chances of happening. So, after watching the problem a long time, I see only one way to make the system really random, and it's increasing the pool of players required to join and then shuffle the teams before starting. That is, instead entering in the same order they hit 'start':

A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I...

They hit start, they are gathered, their positions are shuffled, and then the shuffled teams join:

D, E, J, N, Z, E, R, T, P, G...

Randomizing teams after each fight could be even better, for fair battles. Since that would be fair both for those that just enter, and those that want to stay, but only if they stop sending teams to TA after 10 fights, of course. But this would eliminate the 'good luck at pairing', and would make each fight like starting again. This would require rebalancing the way Gladiator points are given in RA, too. Whatever is done, currently RA is not random, as it should be, and that's the main thing to be fixed here. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 16:39, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Nobody else finds it ironic that after 1 win, Random Arenas gives you a non-random team?
Or anet could do their job and ban cheaters...oh wait, cheating is encouraged - it's the only way you can get bad players to keep playing this unbalanced game. ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 22:25, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
Make it so that people from the same guild cannot be on the same team in RA? (King Neoterikos)
