Guild Wars 2 Suggestions

(Discussion)

Now heres an idea I've had a while ago but never posted. You know how in guild wars there where profession based runes and insignias and then there where common runes and insignias. Now my idea is following that same idea only with Attributes. What I'm saying is what if we could have unlockable attributes that you could use in PvE and PvP that any one could master. it would provide more options for the player to do what he/she wants to do. This could also be used for race special skills.

Examples:

Now these are just some examples. not actually being suggested.

  • Embracing the wild - Norn Attribute, allows you to become the bear, boar and wolf beast. some skills become more effective with higher points in the attribute.
  • Golemancy - Asura Attribute, allows you to summon a Golem and maintain it. some skills become more effective with higher points in the attribute.
  • Faith in the true gods - Human Attribute, raises ones faith in there god allowing one to fight with pride. There would be 6 attribute for this one. one for each god.
  • Mount Mastery - common Attribute, allows you to ride a large beast in to battle. some skills become stronger with higher points in this attribute.
  • Pole Arm mastery - common attribute, allows for basic skill in a pole arm weapon. some skills become stronger with higher points in this attribute.

Remember these examples are NOT actually suggested. there just examples.

Now I don't know where this would go as its about the Attributes them selves and not the skills. But it dose have something to do with skills.

Why this is a good idea
  •  I'll let you tell use why its a good idea
  •
Why it may not work out
  •  Much like the allegiance tracks currently existing, mainly in EotN. Skillwise, Ursan is an example. Many others are unusable. Few lowpower skills make it worthless to invest in. Many skills makes your secondary useless. Strong skills are easily overpowered.
