Guild Wars 2 Suggestions

Idea (Discussion)

To be clear, all I am really suggesting is that humans not be a "well-balanced" race in GW2. Well-balanced races are boring, unimaginative, and, in general, a waste of polygons.

Now, if your looking for suggestions on what the human advantages should be, I'm thinking humans look like they'd fit in best as mesmers or assassins (if either of those are in the next game) and they might also make good rangers, but they'll be competing with Charr in that. Perhaps humans could be the nuanced and articulate race. They could have slightly lowered casting times and/or faster attack rates with bows, wands, and melee weapons.

If approaching an enemy unnoticed is possible at all in GW2 then humans should probably have an advantage here as well. If race-specific attributes are in the wind then I think humans should be the ones to get the "charisma" attribute people have been talking about adding. Personally, I think it should be called "guile" but anyway...

Why this is a good idea
  •   It would set GW2 apart from some of its compeditors.
  •   It would finally give players a reason to play as a human, since the "well-rounded" idea has never (and I mean NEVER) really worked out.
Why it may not work out
  •   Fans may be bewildered and thus dinenfranchised by this new take on the human race.
  •   Humans are typically the race used as the base line for comparison with other races.
