Master of Disguises(Discussion)

Major towns/cities should have an NPC called Master of Disguises or (something to this effect), who can be talked to to chance anything about a character's looks (with the possible exception of height and exception of gender). This NPC could double as the Festival Hats keeper, as he would already deal with costumes. Additionally, having an NPC as only a Festival Hats keeper is rather impractical.

Dialouge

  • Master of Disguises: "Greetings. I am a master in the art of disguise. I have used my abilities to transform many, from actors, to members of royalty, to assassins and wanted criminals in need of a new identity. Suffice to say that I could take you as you are and make you into someone else entirely. Someone new. What is it you need?"
  • [Character Name]: "A new me? Sounds great!"

Or:

  • [Character name]: "No thanks. I'm happy the way Dwayna made me."
Why this is a good idea
  •   Some players may decide later in the game that they dislike their character's face or hair. Having an NPC available to make such changes is much more convenient than starting over to create an ideal character.
  •   It would allow players to match their character's face and/or hair to their armor.
Why it may not work out
  •   It would allow scammers to easily change appearance making future scamming easier
